Just chillin' before the games start!!
Ok, this is some scary shit here. Because of the global pandemic and the growing numbers in America, the NCAA has decided to bar fans from the NCAA tournament games. Only players, coaches, necessary staff and technicians to get the games broadcast and some family of the players will be allowed to be in attendance.
It's the right thing to do, no matter how it "inconveniences" the fans that would like to watch in person, or the teams that rely on the fan noise to get their adrenaline going.
Personally, I'll watch with the TV muted, as I do sometimes when it's announcers that I don't like listening to. It certainly will be weird.
Get used to this look with empty stands.
So, how will this impact UConn? Well, it could change what bracket they will be assigned to. The NCAA selection committee uses as part of their criteria location. They try to get it closer to where fans can get to in order to fill the arenas. That won't be a factor now.
They should just use the S curve to determine the brackets. That could be UConn will be in Ft . Wayne and not Portland.
We will find out on Monday.

UConn has always been a very unselfish team. Geno brings in great scorers, who also pass the ball. Last season was the first year in five that the Huskies have not had four or more players with 100 assists. The three from last year were Crystal (225 assists), Napheesa (134) and Katie Lou (132). The two seasons prior to last year there were five players with over 100 assists. Four or five has been the norm.
This year, Crystal has 118 assists and Anna has 105. Megan is at 92 , so just 8 away from the magic 100 number. Olivia has 89 assists and is just 11 away from the century mark. Those four are the best hope to reach 4 players with 100 or more assists. Christyn is at 72, so that would be a bridge too far. A deep run into the NCAA should get Megan and Liv to join the first two at 100 assists.
