I went to the Hartford Yard Goats game Friday night. I suggest that any baseball fan get to a game this season. The ballpark is just spectacular for a minor league park. They really did a great job. From the large scoreboard to the many food options to the fun entertainment they had between innings, it's just a great experience for the young and the old.

And remember....I hope to be singing the national anthem at some future game. What can be better than that??!!!!!

Before I left for the baseball game I did watch a little of the Jordan Classic game that had three UConn future players in the lineups. It's always fun to see what UConn will be adding in 2017.

I have links to the game in the UConn section. I won't make predictions based on an all-star game, unlike the idiots on the UConn message board, who have decided who will contribute and who will not. Unbelievable. What a bunch of knuckleheads.

One of my favorite posters made a ridiculous post, asking if the success of the women's program impacts the men's program in a negative way. He asked if recruits for the men's team might not want to be in the shadow of the women's team.

Not one of his better efforts. The men's players don't have a second thought about the women's team. Or a third, fourth or fifth thought.

You can tell it's the off season. People have too much time on their hands.
