Breanna Stewart wins the Wooden Award

"To win an award with John Wooden's name on it is an unbelievable honor. Obviously he's the best in the basketball world," Stewart said after winning the award. "It just shows that a lot of hard work pays off."

Stewart also has been selected as the Naismith Trophy winner and was named the Associated Press, USBWA and WBCA National Player of the Year. The only award she didn't win so far was the ESPN award. What a remarkable achievement for this talented young woman.

Mike Dimauro was seated behind the UConn bench so was within earshot of some of Geno's best:

Mike DiMauro @bcgenius
Geno just told the committee members at the table (referring to Dee Kantner): "She thinks everyone is here to see her." #UConn #ncaaWFF

Mike DiMauro @bcgenius
After Tuck's last miss, Geno: "Holy poo, Tuck." #UConn #ncaaWFF

Mike DiMauro @bcgenius
CD thanks Dee Kantner for calling a foul on ND. Kantner: "You're welcome." #ncaawff #UConn

Mike DiMauro @bcgenius
Here is why women's basketball spins its wheels: 2 teams that run beautiful offense are being hijacked by Dee Kantner. #UConn #ncaaWFF

Sally Jenkins was critical of Tenn's offense but appreciates what UConn does even if last night's game was not its best.
Sally Jenkins @sallyjenx
#UConn dribbles less than others. Ball seldom hits the deck. Two dribbles, pass. Three, pass. So pretty — and hard to guard

Sally Jenkins @sallyjenx
#Uconns screens are bigger. Cuts are sharper. Everything just a bit better than other teams.

Jim Fuller@nhrjimfuller
Can't believe Dee Kantner didn't make Final Four All-Tournament team

Twitter ban is lifted!! (tho Stewie missed a word -- NOT)
