DoggyDaddy's Dailies 2/17/16

******************************************************************************

Happy Birthday to my big sister and UConn grad year of 19.......I won't reveal her age at the risk of death.

Have a great BDay!!!!

Ok Temple, I got you this far. Now take it home!!!

Charlie Creame has finally seen the light and put Temple in the as the 11 seed in UConn's bracket.

Temple has some tougher AAC teams left including at 15-10 (9-5) Memphis, at 18-7 (11-3) South Florida and at home against 17-8 (8-5) Tulane before finishing at home against weak sister 5-20 (2-12) UCF. They need to perform well to keep the momentum going.

GO OWLS!!!

Two more interesting things to point out in Charlie SECreame's Bracketology.

1. Duke is out right now. An unbelievably bad season getting worse.

2. The SEC has NINE teams, three more than any other conference.

1 South Carolina
4 Florida
4 Texas A&M
4 Mississippi State
6 Georgia
6 Tennessee
6 Kentucky
6 Missouri
10 Auburn

After watching many hours of SEC basketball, I just can't imagine that there aren't more worthy teams, even out of the power conferences.

Tennessee as a 6 seed is a joke. At 15-10, even with a tough SOS, I'd argue for them being in the tournament at all. They are 5-7 over their last 12 games.

Florida as a 4 seed now? He moved them up after they lost their last two games. Does he even look at the results?

I know its a tough job to put the brackets together. But come on SECreame......at least put some effort into it.

From David in Naples

Breanna Stewart is having a record breaking senior year. With five regular season games remaining, the AAC tournament and hopefully some success in the NCAA tournament, this year should be Stewie's best performance ever. This season, she has already met or passed many of her freshman year statistics. Consider:

1. As a freshman, Stewie scored 497 points. She already has 457 this year.
2. Stewart has matched her 41 steals in 2012 w/ 41 this year and passed her 74 blocks w/ 79 already this season.
3. In 2012, Breanna had only 35 assists with 54 turnovers. This year, she has 97 assists and only 39 turnovers.
4. Stewie had 28 three point baskets in 2012-13 for 33.3% accuracy. So far this season she also has 28 made threes, but a 43.1% rate.
5. Freshman year, Stewie averaged 6.4 rebounds per game. In 2015-16, she has 190 rebounds and a 8.3 average.
6. Overall, Stewart shot 50.8% from the field as a freshman. This year, she is hitting 59.1% on the court & 82.8% from the charity stripe.
7. Stewie scored 13.8 pts per game in 2012-13, but now averages 19.9 pts per contest.

UConn could have as many as 13 games left in the season. Stewie is already 2nd in scoring, 3rd in blocks and 6th in rebounds in UConn history. She just gets better and better each season and could lead the Huskies to yet another National Championship. Go Stewie..!!

After the Twitter shit storm where Diamond Deshields' father tweeted several times trashing Coach Warlick, he then tweeted this:

I want to apologize to Coach Warllick and LadyVol Nation. I’m not writing this to back away from my comments. What’s done is done. But my delivery was terrible and totally out of character. I’m part of the coaching fraternity and should know better.

A lot of people have chimed in, but those who really know me KNOW that I want nothing but the best for Holly, her staff, and all the young lady’s associated with that program. Hopefully, we can all grow from this.

Too little too late, Delino.

Not only did he misspell the coaches name, she didn't back away from what he said at all.

His delivery was terrible? No, what he said was terrible.
