GO UCONN!!!!!

One thing I can tell you. It was a tough way to lose but lose they did. It was a great comeback in the fourth quarter down 10 points. They had a chance. It wasn't meant to be. Was that call on Edwards a good call? That will be debated by others. Of course I think it was lousy. Aaliyah was set and the Iowa player just bounced off of her. Let the players make the play.

I won't be getting into details on what when wrong in this game. Iowa is a terrific team and I"ll be rooting for them against South Carolina. Clark did what she had to do to lead Iowa to the win. Stuelke was the difference maker. Like most games, someone steps up and she did.
The girls can hold their heads up high.
The long season with a short roster wore on UConn. But as a fan and someone that writes about this team every day, I couldn't be more proud. They never gave up. They fought to the end.
So many great games, so many great performances. And so much to look forward to.
I'm more of a "great season, how does next year look" kinda guy. And I plan to write about that very soon.
So thanks Aaliyah and Nika. I will miss you as will Husky Nation. Good lunk in the future. The WNBA is calling both of you!!

Sarah Strong will announce her commitment tomorrow.

The game tips off at 10am, so I’d guess halftime comes around 11am or so. It’s on ESPN https://t.co/a49IwdRFtk
So, will this decision take the sting out of this loss or pile on to the pain? I'm hopeful but not confident that Strong will decide to bring her great skills to Storrs.
As we all know, she is down to UConn, Duke and North Carolina. As a UConn fan it's an easy choice. The Huskies have the best coaching staff in basketball, and next year's roster is so good and deep (no friggin injuries please) that they will likely be the top ranked team in the country going into next season and the favorite to win it all. With or without Strong. Will the pull to play close to home be the difference maker?
Will Kara Lawson be the coach she wants to play with? How does playing with the probably national POY next season in Paige Bueckers lure her to UConn? Her mom lives in Boston, not to far from Gampel. Will that be a factor that favors the Huskies?
So many reasons to pick UConn and Duke. I'm not sure why North Carolina is even in the mix. I might be missing something.
The announcement should be around 11:00 Saturday morning on ESPN. I will be watching with fingers crossed!!
