Last day in Florida. Heading back to cold Connecticut Tuesday morning. I'll be home in plenty of time to see the UConn game at 7:00.

It was a great 9 days!! Only one round of golf, but so happy to be in relatively warmer weather.

Can't wait to see Logan on Wednesday!!! He decided to climb in the laundry basket to play the keyboard.....silly kid!!!!

UConn/Central Florida Pre game Report.

Congrats to crazy CViv and Rutgers for getting back in the top 25 for the first time in two years. They are having a pretty good season so far. The Big Ten is not the strongest conference so they should easily make the NCAA tournament as a reasonable seed.

Being a Jersey native, I've always had a soft spot for Rutgers. Well, except when they had those good teams that actually beat UConn.

Observations from the 3rd row, right behind the UConn bench, in Tampa, versus USF.

1. Katie Lou is a stone cold assassin on the court. The only way to guard her is with a whistle.

2. Pheesa could score 50 points if given enough touches. Teams can't guard her...
3. Geno talks to Crystal throughout the game. During fouls shots, while she is dribbling, etc...
4. This team seems to love one another with a passion. The starters went nuts with the subs hitting threes.
5. Gabby is the backup high fiver after threes.

6. Z is really, really tall... But, really, really graceful...
7. Gabby not only jumps high, she hangs up there while everyone else is coming down...
8. Kia is a hockey player playing basketball. She should send Laksa a bill for the physical she gave her.
9. The music at USF's arena sucks.
10. That was the best defensive effort I have ever seen...

Numbers 2 -

For goodness sake can we finally get Stanford out of the Top 25 rankings ? It was a great program and I'm sure they will be good again, but right now they suck. Their record is 9-7. Their 7 losses include Western Illinois..!!

It doesn't matter if you play lots of ranked teams IF YOU LOSE ALL THOSE GAMES..! They score a paltry 68 points a game and shoot 40% from the field. (UConn shoots 53%) Oppnents average 64 pts per game. From three range, Stanford is a pathetic 29.8%. Even the free throw shooting is bad at 64.2%.
