Looks like UConn will have a new conference mate, more than likely this fall. The Wichita State Shockers.

This is not a football addition. Wichita State hasn't had a football team since 1986. But the men's basketball team has outgrown the Missouri Valley conference. This season they were 31-5 and lost in the NCAA tournament as a 10 seed to No. 2 seed Kentucky in a great game, 65-62.

The women's team? Meh.....not so great. This year they were 15-16 and 9-9 in their conference. The year before they lost 20 games. But they did have four years before that where they had 4 consecutive 20 game win seasons, and a few of those were 25+ wins.

It's more to placate the UConn men's basketball team and for the AAC, hoping UConn doesn't leave anytime soon. The problem for the AAC in that thought process is that UConn will take the first invitation by a Power 5 conference that comes their way. But the good news for the AAC is that there doesn't seem to be an offer on the horizon.
