Thirty-seven games down and a thriller on tap for Friday against Notre Dame. UConn will take their 35-2 record and regular season victory over ND down to Tampa. Last time these two met in Tampa, the Huskies won the National Championship. Here are some amazing season totals that stand out from the stat sheet.
1. Crystal has 216 assists vs only 72 turnovers. That is an assist/turnover ratio of exactly 3.0
2. Dangerfield also has played the most minutes this year with 1,288 or 34.8 per game. In contrast, Stewie's highest average was 30.5 her sophomore year.
3. All five starters are averaging over 30 minutes per game for the season. (31.3 to 34.8) That has not happened before.
4. Megan and Christyn have many close stats. Baskets = 162 vs 164, Threes = 48 vs 45, Free throws = 49 vs 50, and points 421 vs 424.
5. Christyn has more offensive rebounds (48) than Olivia (45).
6. Napheesa has 316 baskets and 133 assists. Together, she has been involved in 449 baskets. That is 39.2% of UConn's total baskets.
7. Crystal is shooting 92.4% from the charity stripe (61-66).
8. Lou and Crystal have both tried 227 threes. Lou made 86, Crystal 82.
9. Pheesa has 60 blocked shots and has 60 fouls. Since some fouls are offensive, she is more likely to block the shot than foul.
