UConn went through the motions against Colgate Wednesday night in their 94-50 win. Details will be in my soon to come UConn/Colgate post game report. Hopefully sometime tomorrow. But it won't be too much detail. I have to work on the UConn /Florida State pregame report.

A bloggers work is never done.

Here is Coach Daily's post game presser.

Happy for Stewie; these games can go 1 of 2 ways, sometimes players press but great game for Stewie.  We had dinner with her family, Hamilton is a quaint town, we stayed at the Colgate Inn and had a great time.

Intimate atmosphere in the gym except for the football players behind bench; we all took advil at halftime, they wore us out.  Still, a great environment.

We knew going  in they were physically over-matched and we expected a zone.  We did great things this time; last game we were trying to run plays rather than going to open spots.  This time we went to open spots and were successful on a lot of high-lows and played well.  We're going to see a lot of zone this year.

On the 3s made by opponents this year, I don't know.  Some of it is we have to understand that teams will not make enough 2s to win, so we need to do much better job of forcing them to put it on floor and trust our defense at the basket.  Some of it is unbelievable shots and some of it is we need to get a lot better.

KLS is fine; she didn't feel well all day starting at breakfast.  She's okay.

It's been a long stretch.  It's been good and we've learned from it so hopefully we use what we've learned the road.

It'll be good to get this stretch over.

Stewart is the ONLY player in WCBB history to have 300+ assists and 300+ blocks. The ONLY player.

This season will have a lot to say if she is considered the best WCBB player of all time.

Yes, I'm a coward and won't play UConn.

No. 19 Syracuse defeated Coppin State at home in the game they played instead of giving Breanna Stewart a chance to play in front of all her family and friends in her last season. A game where they had around maybe 500 in attendance. I mean look at the crowd!

I really wonder if the AD at Syracuse had any idea that they game up a game that would have at least 5000 fans. I never liked the little shrimp. Now I have no respect for his pathetic decision not to play UConn.

What an interesting game between Notre Dame and DePaul, UConn last two tough opponents.

Notre Dame was amazing in the first half. They scored 65 points and I don't think they missed a shot. At least it seemed that way. At one point they led DePaul by 26 points. It looked like Notre Dame went into the "prevent defense" mode and DePaul made a furious rally, coming up short for the 95-90 final. DePaul outscored Notre Dame 51- 30 in the second half. McGraw was not happy with her team's defensive effort in the second half.

After making 13-20 threes against UConn, Notre Dame was almost as good, making 11-20. If my math is correct, that's 24-40 over their last two games. 60%. Wow! DePaul was a solid 44% making 12-27. More great shooting.
