If you haven't seen it yet, here is my UConn/Florida State Post Game Report.

From David in Naples

He has been feeding me these fun numbers almost every day so I'm going to have this as a regular piece for my Dailies. Hope you enjoy them. David, don't let me down!!!!

Napheesa Collier is putting together some very good, but very round numbers so far this season.

1. Collier has 10 assists.
2. She has 20 steals.
3. Napheesa has 30 defensive rebounds.
4. She has taken 40 shots.
5. Her field goal % is 50%.

In No. 2 South Carolina's destruction of Winthrop, Alaina Coates had a triple double! She scored 29 points, snared 16 rebounds and blocked 10 shots. Impressive. Well, almost. It was done against a team that is rated 242 by Sagarin and 358 by Massey.

On second thought, it is still impressive. But in a game where no one else on the South Carolina roster played more than 24 points Coates was left in the game to the end in order to get that last block, which she did with 18 seconds left.

From Staley - "We wanted it to happen for her. Obviously, you get a little antsy about leaving her in being up so big,".

I'm not sure that was the smartest thing to do and fortunate that Coates didn't get injured. It's only a stat line. It's not a team record. It's certainly not worth risking injury in a 40 point blowout.
