Head Coach Nicci Hays Fort

"Every year, we strive to play teams that have participated in postseason play, thus challenging ourselves to compete against some of the most competitive teams regionally,"

Boy, she wasn't kidding.

Hays Fort has compiled 15 years of college coaching experience at every level of NCAA basketball.

She arrived in Hamilton after serving as the associate head coach at DePaul University under the mentorship of successful head basketball coach Doug Bruno. The Blue Demons were 112-54 (.675) during her association with the program, having helped guide the team to an NCAA Sweet Sixteen appearance, five NCAA tournaments and a top-10 national ranking.

 Game Analysis

I just can't do an Analysis of this game. Colgate was nice enough to schedule UConn to allow Breanna Stewart to have a homecoming game in Upstate New York so all her family and friends can come see her. Sadly, Syracuse would not schedule the game with UConn. Geno won't say it but I will. Their coach is a coward.

Colgate is overmatched in every single area that you can think of. It would be a disservice to them to explain why in detail. I'll jut say that they shoot only 37.8% from the field, 26.1% on threes and they have more turnovers than assists.

UConn will make those numbers worse. That being said, maybe they go 15-20 on threes. Nah.....

The only two questions for UConn are:

Will Butler get minutes?
Does starting Samuelson in the second half of the ND game mean she is starting over Williams?

Final Prediction

It all depends on how nice Geno wants to be. I'm sure he will do his best to keep the score kinda reasonable. But unless he tells his team not to fast break, press and trap, UConn will score 100 points and Colgate won't get more than 40.

So, I guess I'm saying a 60+ point win. A good game to work on things and get Butler ready for minutes against Florida State in the next game.

  2. I wonder if the Syracuse Athletic Dept has the capacity for embarrassment.

  3. Quentin, everyone following WCBB knows how much better than Syracuse UCONN is. We don't need to watch a game to know had bad it would be. Bush league decision IMO from a bush league guy
