I'm such a lucky man. My kids and grandkids gave me a great present.

Floor seats for the men's game against No. 8 Wichita State. Should be a lot of fun, even if UConn gets blown out. Maybe they can rise to the occasion? I'll be taking my granddaughter Noa. Valet parking and pre-game food!!!!

Thank you Jay, Jules, Liz, Brendan, Noa, Mya and Logan!!!!

Here is my UConn/Memphis Pre Game Report.

And a couple of Pre Game Videos with a few players and CD

Stanford, after dropping to 6-6 and out of the top 25, upset No. 11 UCLA. The Cardinal are just a different team when McPhee is in the lineup. She scored 26 points to led Stanford to the win. UCLA has been a little off since they lost to UConn earlier in the season.

Sophomore guard and possible UConn target Myra Gordons scoreed a school record 53 points in L.D. Bell High's 81-73 win over Cleburne Thursday. The previous record was 47 held by her older sister freshman Lexi Gordon. Pretty cool, huh.

By David in Naples!!!!!

Let's be honest, Napheesa and Azura are basically the same player, only Z is taller. Some UConn fans seem obsessed with the "drop off" in Collier's stats this season. Others wonder what is "wrong" with Pheesa's shooting and confidence. The answer is obvious and comes in 2 parts. First, nothing is wrong with Napheesa and we are only 10 games into the season. Second, there is another Collier type player on the court. Yes, Z = Pheesa.  :D

Let's compare stats.
Z has 85 rebounds, Collier 80.
Z has 33 assists, Collier also has 33 assists.
Z has 18 blocked shots, so does Collier.
Z has 15 turnovers, Collier has 14.
Napheesa has 64 baskets, Azura has 61.
Napheesa has 22 offensive rebounds, Z has 23.
Collier has 152 points, Z has 146.
They are the same damn player, just sharing time and the same spot on the court. 8-)

This duplication of Pheesa is a good thing. Starting one Napheesa, and being able to bring in another one, is killing opponents. Having them on the floor at the same time is even better. The bad news is Collier's stats will be slightly off as she shares time and space with Z. If you must, add their stats together to see just how effective Double Pheesa has become.

Points = 29.8 per game.
Rebounds = 16.5 per game.
Blocks = 3.6 per game.
Shooting % inside the arc = 62.7%
Assists = 6.6 per game.

This is not a problem. This is wonderful. Now, relax....

Go Huskies..!!
