If you haven't seen it yet, here is my Oklahoma Post Game Report.

UConn takes on California next and their star player 6'4" Senior Kristine Anigwe. She is a GREAT player and a load to handle in the paint. Here is my Pre Game Report.

Sabrina Ionescu has set the record for career triple doubles with her 13th in Oregon's 82-36 win over Air Force. She had 17 points, 13 assists and 11 rebounds. Most of her triple doubles were garnered against weaker competition, but that shouldn't take anything away from this special feat.

So, was last night's game against Oklahoma a disaster or a learning experience? How about both..! Shooting 2-17 from three-point range is a disaster. That is barely 12%. Lou went 1-6, Crystal was worse at 1-7 and Megan & Christyn both went 0-2. Really bad. The only thing UConn's 3 point shooting did was created rebound chances for Napheesa. And she grabbed 10 offensive boards..! All of Oklahoma only had 10 offensive rebounds combined.

It is interesting that on a terrible shooting night from long range, the Huskies went 14-15 or 93% from the free throw line. They also made 49% of their shots from inside the arc, 26-53. As Geno said at the half and after the game, the shots were open and good looks, they just didn't go in. Now is where the learning experience come in. With zero luck from outside the arc, UConn pounded the ball inside to Pheesa, Christyn and Lou. Together they had 57 points versus 63 for all of Oklahoma. Almost all were layups or short jumpers. Learning experience.

The Huskies also used their conditioning and composure to win the game. Oklahoma was up 62-59 with 5 minutes to play. The Sooners scored only 1 point in the last 5 minutes. They looked tired and panicked as the Huskies scored 13 points, including 7-8 from the free throw line. In those last 5 minutes, Oklahoma missed 9 shots, had 6 fouls and 1 turnover. Their only point was a free throw. Tired and panicked.

Go Huskies..!!
