I'm going to keep this short and not so sweet. It's mostly an informational report.
Butler Season to Date
Butler has had a tough season. They won several games against weak teams in their out of conference schedule. They defeated Chicago State 87-45, Milwaukee 79-70 OT,
Indiana 56-46, Indiana State 80-55, UMass Lowell 69-44, Santa Clara 79-50, Boise State 70-64, UT Martin 70-60, Ohio 69-60 and St. Francis 95-38.
Two of their losses in the OOC schedule were against ranked teams at the time or currently ranked teams. They lost to now No. 23 Vanderbilt 81-52, then No. 5 Texas 94-59, and the third loss was to Big Ten team Wisconsin 71-64 2OT.
Unfortunately for Butler, they lost their star player and leading scorer Caroline Strand to an ACL injury against Seton Hall in their second Big East game. The loss was devastating. They have gone 2-8 in the Big East beating only Providence 57-47 and Georgetown 63-53.

Butler Starters
Butler Bench
Butler hasn't been the same since the ACL injury to their star player and leading scorer Caroline Strand.
Coach Parkinson has made several lineup changes trying to shake things up and get better performances. It's not happening as they just don't have the talent to compete at a higher level.
Butler is a poor shooting team, hitting their shots at only 42.4 % and their three point shooting is even worse without Strand at 31.8%. On top of that they have 322 assists and 414 turnovers a negative ratio.
I've been listing the stats in these Game Reports and this is the first one where UConn is outrebounding the team they are facing.
Butler takes 20 threes per game and pretty much every player in the rotations has shot three pointers so expect that to happen again.
Final Prediction
UConn has the advantage in every position up and down the roster. So this Prediction is pretty easy. Add to that the fact that UConn is home for this one, I expect a very large margin of victory. The next game after this one is against Tennessee in Knoxville. You will have a much more details report on that one. I'm hopeful that the Huksies don't look ahead. Ahh....it won't matter
