My UConn/Cincinnati II Post Game Report is out.

     ******************************************************************************

Congrats to Geno on his 900th win, with UConn defeating Cincinnati 96-36.

He reached 900 victories faster than any other college coach in history. Geno only needed 1,034 games to reach the milestone. This win ties him with former Texas coach Jody Conradt for fifth place on the all-time women's list, 198 wins behind former Tennessee coach Pat Summitt.

Lets see. Maybe 17 more games this season. Average 37 wins for 5 years and you have 185. He will definitely have to sign another extension to reach that milestone. I have no doubt that is something he really wants. So look for a new contract in 4 years. If he signs another 5 he will be well over 1200 wins by the time he thinks about retiring.

What I really appreciate about Geno is how he ALWAYS gives thanks and credit to the players and coaches around him. SNY had quite a few former players on video there to congratulate Geno and he is always so appreciative.

I don't think there has been a coach and assistant (now associate) coach that have accomplished as much as this duo. It is truly remarkable.

Only six games in all of WCBB tonight and four of them were in the AAC. Look for the links to the box scores in the AAC section of this blog.

I will congratulate South Florida for another big win. A few more losses by the bottom of the top 25 and USF will make the list.

I'll add to that Tulane, who is still making a push for the field of 64.

Ugly Game Of The Day

Sorry Jamelle, not much to choose from Tuesday night.

It's not surprising that Cincinnati would have some UGLY stats against UConn. If they didn't have a better second half, the numbers would have been downright BUTT ugly.

The Bearcats shot 25% from the field and 30% (3-10) on three's to go along with their 18 turnovers in making their big run to 36 points.

Congrats Cinci!!! You win Tuesday's Ugly Game of the Day award.

THE UGGY!!!!
