I'm so proud of my Granddaughter Noa, who helped her Cheer Florida team score a FIRST PLACE score in the first round of the Queen of the Nile competition in Orlando.

Here is my UConn/Central Florida Pre Game Report.

****************************************************************************

Great game by UConn in the second round of the AAC tournament. They were in control from the beginning and did a great job moving the ball around on offense and making the right passes at the right time.

Team wise, it was just a great effort. They had 27 assists on their 38 baskets and only had 5 turnovers. Outstanding.

Collier was once again the leading scorer and is only one tenth behind Katie Lou. Actually, it's only three points for the season. I have a feeling these two will be neck and neck for the rest of the games.

Kia Nurse is back and looked every bit as rusty as you would expect. But she played, even if it was only 15 minutes.

Geno is always trying to build on each game in the tournaments. This was sure a good game to build on!!

By David in Naples!!!!!

UConn's AAC tournament victory over Tulsa had many odd numbers. The score was 105-57, UConn took 61 shots and the Huskies delt 27 assists. Katie Lou scored 19 points, Gabby had 17 points, Natalie poured in 13 and Crystal hit for 11. The Huskies nailed 9 of 19 threes and only committed 5 turnovers. The rebounding totals included players with 9, 7, 5, 3, 3 and 1. And, Napheesa went 9-9 from the charity stripe.

Despite the odd pattern of numbers, two even figures jump out from the game. First, UConn went 20-20 as a team from the free throw line. Second, the Huskies are now 30-0 and play again tomorrow against UCF.

Go Huskies..!!
