I'm heading to NYC tomorrow for a fun family reunion at JP Clark's Restaurant in Manhattan. My grandson Logan will get to meet his birthday twin cousin Zevy, both born on July 9th, 2016.
And in big news, today was my wife's last day of work. She is officially retired. May God have mercy on my soul.

I watched the Sparks/Mystics game where LA blew out Washington 97-67.
It's fun watching the players I enjoyed in college do so well in the WNBA. LA's Kristy Tolliver had one of her incredible shooting nights, going 7-8 from the field and a scorching hot 5-6 on threes. Her release is as quick as ever and she has no conscience.
Nneka Ogwumike had 10 points, but it was a flash from the past seeing her up and under post move that she used so many time at Stanford.
I watched Candace Parker closely in this game. I guess she really does need the motivation of "killing Breanna Stewart" as a Tennessee fans said, in order to get up for a game. Yeah, that is a little unfair of me, but hey, it's my blog...! I watched her do the same things, milk a fake injury, complain to the refs, don't hustle back on defense. Same ole same ole.
Dolson had a nice first half but didn't see a lot of time in the second half once the game was out of reach. She was 4-5 from the field, even schooling Parker on one post move.
Bria Hartley, one of my favorite Husky alumni, looked shaky at times, but still managed 4 points and had a nifty 7 assists and only 1 turnover.
Washington is just not a very good team. It showed. Unforced turnovers all over the place. Might be a long season for Coach Mike.
