Per Carl Adamec, during Natalie Butler's 26 minutes on the court, UConn outscored Texas by 29 points.

Lots of changes in the top 25 after Sunday's full schedule. So let's get right to them.
The big change that might last only 2 days is UConn moving ahead of Notre Dame for the top slot as the Irish slip to No. 2. So, why now? What changed?
Well, UConn beat another top 15 team. That makes four on the season. Notre Dame, on the other hand, has only played one top 25 team, No. 17 Washington and they weren't very impressive in that outing. But that was a couple of weeks ago. During this week, they played Iowa (bottom of the Big 10) and Valparaiso (who I still can't spell without using spell check).
Also, South Carolina lost and they had three first place votes last week. So those voters had to vote for someone else No. 1. It appears they went with UConn.
It really doesn't matter as these two powerhouse programs face off again on Wednesday in South Bend.
------------------------------------------------------
South Carolina lost to Duke this week and that impacted both programs. The Gamecocks dropped from No. 3 to No. 6. Not only that but some of the shine is off the pre-season glow of Dawn Staley and the impact the two transfers, Davis and Gray. It's not that they still can't get better and win the championship. But they looked vulnerable to me.
On the flip side, Duke enters the top 25 at No. 21. This is the first time in the top 25 since week 10 of last season, when they were 11-4. They dropped out the following week. We shall see if this is a short term deal. They have two easy games before playing No. 15 Kentucky at home.

Florida State has now moved up 5 spots from No. 12 to No. 7 even with a loss to UConn. UConn's SOS just keeps getting better and better! I think they are a real contender for the ACC title. Looking forward to them playing Notre Dame.
------------------------------------------------------
Syracuse is still in the top 25 with three losses, as is Ohio State. But the interesting thing is that Texas, now 2-4 is still ranked and ranked at No. 17. Yes, they were No. 14 last week and only dropped three spots. But they lost both their games. Of course, losing to UConn and South Carolina should not be that punishing to their rankings. But it does seem weird to see a team in the top 25 with that kind of record. They play Tennessee next Sunday at home in the same timeslot as the UConn game. 4:30. This will be their biggest game and a must win for them at home.
------------------------------------------------------
Speaking of Tennessee, they are one of three SEC teams to drop out of the top 25. All the bragging about that conference and high regard from Charlie SECreme and other pundits took a big hit this week. Tennessee, Auburn, and Texas A&M all dropped into the "Others receiving votes" making them ranked 30, 32 and 35. If Tennessee loses to Texas in their next game, do they receive ANY votes? What a nightmare in Knoxville. Hmmm....sounds like a horror movie. "Nightmare in Knoxville" staring the head zombie Holly Warlick. You don't believe me? Watch this press conference.

By David in Naples!!!!!
UConn is now making 44.4% of their three point attempts. Opponents, on the other hand, are only hitting 26.3% of their tries. So the Huskies are 59-133 form outside the arc and the bad guys are only 40-152. Nineteen extra threes equals 57 extra points from that range. That is over 8 more points per game for UConn.
Katie Lou and Napheesa are both shooting 50% from beyond the arc. KLS is 22-44, while Pheesa is 5-10. Kia Nurse is also on fire from 3 point range with 42.5% accuracy (17-40). Rounding out the three point shooters are Dangerfield at 44.4% (8-18), Chong with 3-9 or 33.3% and Molly Bent leading everyone with 75% of her threes going in (3-4). Even Gabby has entered the three point scoring group with her first ever three. She is now 1-3 or 33.3%.
Seven players have made a 3 pt shot. Of the top 6 players in minutes played, all have made at least one 3 and five are legitimate threats if left unguarded. Just ask Texas about that... That truly spreads out the defense and opens up the lane for cutters or post ups.
Go Huskies..!!
The game announcers and the halftime analyst (the former coach) completely missed the turning point in UConn's victory over Texas. In the first 6 minutes of the game, the 6'5" center for the Longhorns, Kelsey Lang, had 6 points, 4 rebounds and missed only 1 shot. She was dominating and Texas was up 12-6.
Geno then put Natalie Butler in the game. For the rest of the 1st period, Lang had 0 points, 1 rebound and missed her only shot. And, she picked up her first foul. Butler had 1 rebound, 1 assist and 1 blocked shot (against Lang).
In the 2nd period, Lang does not enter the stats until 6:01 of the period (4 minutes gone). She picks up her 2nd foul and ends the half with only 2 more points and 2 more rebounds. Anyone care to credit Natalie? Yes, Geno did after the game, but where in hell was ESPN..?? Everyone watching the game could see what an impact Butler made on the game. By the way, Butler's 2nd period stats were better than Lang... 2 points and 3 rebounds. Big versus big and Nat won.
In the 3rd period, Lang had 4 more points and 3 more rebounds. Want to measure the effect Butler had on Lang? In the final period, Lang had 0 points, missed her only shot, had 3 turnovers and 1 rebound. Texas scored 5 points and a 9 point UConn lead turned into an 18 point rout. And, by the way, the missed shot by Lang was a Butler blocked shot..!! Butler finished with 4 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 blocks and 0 turnovers. More importantly, She was the key to controlling Lang and gave Collier and Williams the opportunity to guard wings and guards. Those two ended up with 9 steals and 11 rebounds.
The Natalie Butler doubters need to hush up and watch the game closer. Never was a players contribution more obvious and more overlooked.
Go Natalie..!!
