In case you missed it, here is my UConn/Notre Dame Post Game Report.

What do St. Peter's, Elon, and UT Rio Grande Valley have in common?
They are really bad teams that Top 25 teams are playing Thursday night.
I know, I know, UConn has to play top teams in the OOC schedule to make up for the crappy AAC in conference schedule. I say bullshit.
These teams would lose to even the worst teams in the AAC. While the American Conference is not great, it's not nearly as bad as some make it out to be.

There was only one top 25 matchup Thursday night.
No. 23 Florida visited No. 7 Florida State and the Seminoles destroyed the Gators 83-58. And it wasn't that close.
The results were no surprise to me. I am one that believed that Florida was overrated. Part of the SEC mystique.

And UConn opponent Florida State continues it's domination since UConn beat them the first game of the season. They are close to breaking the top five. And based on their schedule, I think they have a shot to get there.
Meanwhile, say goodbye to another SEC team from the top 25. It will be down to South Carolina, Mississippi State and Kentucky.

By David in Naples!!!!!
There were some very unusual stats in last night's victory over Notre Dame, 72-61. Consider:
1. Saniya Chong had 3 rebounds, all offensive..!
2. UConn made their 1st three point attempt, then missed the rest all night, 0-8.
3. Marina Mabrey, the mean one, went 0-7 until making a shot with 11 seconds left.
4. The combined three point % was 4-23 or 17.4%. The two teams were making 44% and 42% prior to the game.
5. Napheesa Collier was +18 for the game. (UConn scored 18 more points when she was in.)
6. Notre Dame's starting five went 0-10 from three point range.
7. Gabby had 4 offensive rebounds, 5 steals, 6 assists, 7 baskets, 8 defensive rebounds and 16 points.
This was a heart and will power win for the Huskies..!! Geno was very proud, as well he should be.
Go Huskies..!!
