Here is my UConn/UCLA Pre Game Report.

No, you are not seeing double. Logan is holding TWO tiggies!!!

While changing Barrett I noticed Logan in the window seat holding his favorite stuffed animal.

Why are there two? Well, my daughter thought they lost the original and they went out and got a replacement. Then they found the original and put the other one away. One day Logan found it and exclaimed - "Look, two tiggies!!!".  He was so happy!! He looks pretty happy still! Barrett doesn't appear to care.

Thanks David for doing the legwork on this. I saw the post but you had already captured it for me. This was on the main UConn message board. As David said, "Possibly the dumbest post ever"...lol.

Here goes -

"However, the team stats can be a bit misleading since they only reflect an average of overall performance based on total games against given teams over the course of a long season.
I would think that the focus should be on how well theses teams have been playing of late. UCLA looks very strong. UConn . . . ? Well, but for the second half of the game against Buffalo . . . "

Ok…...so......stats accumulated over the course of the season matters less than 14 minutes of basketball in one game? Sigh...…

Of course not. Stats accumulated during the season against good teams and bad absolutely reflect how a team performs. As David shows in his Numbers, UCLA is NOT a good shooting team. Does that mean they won't shoot well in this game? Of course not. But they are more likely to shoot poorly.

Does UConn's struggle for 14 minutes against Buffalo mean that they will struggle against UCLA? Of course not. They are more likely NOT to struggle against the Bruins.

Teams will usually perform to their statistics game by game. Occasionally there are outliers. We will see how it works out, but the odds are in UConn's favor.

I'll add another post I saw that just blew my mind. Someone actually said that UCLA is not much worse than UConn in three point shooting. He tried to convince us that 36% is really close to 31%. No, I'm not kidding. So maybe THAT is the dumbest post? Let's just call it a tie.

Ok….this is the big news that exploded in the world of WCBB. Holly Warlick WAS finally fired Wednesday as head coach of the Tennessee Lady Vols. While not shocking, it's still a shock if that makes any sense.

You could see that she lost the team this year, from their uninspired play to the horrible interview with their point guard Evina Westbrook. She was able to survive several years of mediocrity but the 19-13 win season, the 7-9 record in the SEC to the first round loss in the NCAA was just too much.

The rumor mill is still hot on Jeff Walz of Louisville being offered the job. If that is their choice, we won't hear until Louisville is eliminated. Hopefully Friday....lol.

Here are a few articles on the firing if you are looking for more information.

By David in Naples!!!!!

Doggydaddy will have a comprehensive scouting report on UCLA shortly, but in the meanwhile, here are a few stats to calm down the fans who say UConn is absolutely going to lose.

1. UCLA shot 41.7% from the field this season. UConn shot 49.5% from the field.
2. UCLA made 30.8% of their threes this season. The Huskies made 36.3%.
3. UCLA had 476 assists. UConn had 700.

Do you see the pattern? Doggy will give a full analysis, but those who give UConn no chance are ignoring so much. Here are two final facts (not fearful thinking).
1. The game is in Albany and is basically a home game for the Huskies.
2. UCLA is 0-5 all-time against Geno and the Huskies.

Go Huskies..!!
