UNANIMOUS SELECTIONS IN ALL CAPS -

By David in Naples!!!!!

The regular season is over and the Huskies are a surprising 29-0. Here are seven other surprising stats from the regular season.

1. UConn has two players averaging 20+ points per game with KLS at 20.7 and Napheesa at 20.4 per contest. Never happened before.
2. Gabby leads the team in assists with 152. Last season she had 51.
3. Kia Nurse currently has 104 assists. Last year she had 104 and prior to that 108.
4. Crystal ended the regular season with 11 made free throws, Kyla Irwin had 15.
5. UConn scored 668 points in the 1st period this season, opponents less than half at 325.
6. The Huskies made 379 free throws (77.7%). That was 100 more than opponents even tried, 276.
7. UConn forced 549 turnovers and held opponents to 612 baskets.

UConn graduated 48.8% of their scoring , but still managed to score 85.8 points per game. Katie Lou, Napheesa and Gabby raised their scoring totals from 27 points per game to 54 per contest. That is double the previous season. Next game is Saturday in the AAC tournament.

Go Huskies..!!
