It would have been my mom's 97th birthday today. She has been gone almost 7 years now. I miss her terribly. She loved the Huskies too.

I was talking to someone about the gap between the end of the conference tournaments and the first NCAA game. He said to me "what are we going to talk about now?". I replied, "just try to fill a blog every day".
It ain't easy. So you can expect a few more pics of the grandkids. I love seeing them. I'm not so sure about you all. However, like I have said before. It's my blog!!!

With her 4 blocks last night against Cincinnati, Olivia Nelson-Ododa now has 100 for the season. Her 154 for her two year career puts Liv in 11th place overall with 154 blocks. Peggy Walsh is next at spot #10 with 162 blocks. Even more exciting, Liv now has 89 assists. If she gets 11 more, she will become only the 3rd player in Uconn history to get 100 blocks and 100 assists in the same year. Most recently, Stewie did it 3 times during her Sophomore, Junior and Senior seasons.
Crystal now has 599 assists and sits in 5th place in UConn career history. She is only 33 assists away from Renee Montgomery for 4th place. That may be a stretch and will certainly depend on how far UConn can advance in the NCAA tournament. Scoring wise, Dangerfield is in 28th place with 1,480 points. MoJeff is in 26th place just 52 points away. Go Crystal..!!
