An incredibly dominating performance by UConn in their 96-38  win over Tulane. Folks, Tulane is NOT that bad but this UConn team is just that good.

Here is my Post Game Report.

For now, I'll just say that as the freshman and sophomores improve game to game this team might be the best UConn of all time by the time the NCAA tournament starts. When you have possibly the GOAT in Stewart and arguably the best point guard on both sides of the ball in UConn history playing together? All this adds up to unstoppable. Am I gushing too much?

Congrats to Breanna Stewart for becoming the 2nd leading scorer in UConn history, passing Tina Charles. She is only behind Maya Moore but she won't be catching up to her any time soon. Ms. Moore is way ahead.

The only downer in this game was the horrific shooting night by the slumping Kia Nurse, who was 0-6 on her three point shots. And strangely enough, those were also the only shots she took in the game. She had her right wrist bandaged which had to impact her shot. I'm hoping this is rock bottom for her. She has to be so discouraged.

As Breanna Stewart and Moriah Jefferson head down the stretch run on their college careers, both are moving higher on UConn's all time statistics lists. Stewie is 3rd in scoring and just 15 points away from passing Tina Charles for 2nd place. Her 351 blocks leaves her 3rd all time, just 19 away from Kara Wolters and another 2nd place. Rebecca Lobo's top mark of 396 career blocks is within reach, only 45 away. After joining the exclusive 1,000 rebound club, Stewie has now has the 6th most rebounds at 1,014. Jamelle Elliot and 5th place are only 40 boards away.

MoJeff is blazing her own path to UConn records. She is currently 4th in career steals with 309. Maya Moore is just 1 steal away in 3rd place. Jen Rizzotti would be next, 39 ahead of Maya. Jefferson is also 5th in assists at 559. Sue Bird is next, just 26 away. Moriah's 1,319 points ranks her 32nd all time at UConn. She will pass Laura Lishness with her next 47 points into 31st place.

But the record that has UConn fans most excited involves both Stewie and MoJeff. The opportunity to win a 4th straight National Championship is something that has never been done before. Not by D.T., Maya, Bird or Lobo. Along with Morgan Tuck, MoJeff and Stewie would share a record not imagined in Women's College Basketball. Most importantly, they would accomplish that record with style, humility and pure teamwork. 8-)
