Logan couldn't take his eyes off of this game!!!
It never felt so good to be so wrong. I called for an 8 point win for UConn but they proved me wrong with an 82-63 win. The Huskies hammered Ohio State with an incredible third quarter, turning a close game, a six point margin at the half into a 22 point lead. They outscored the Buckeyes 30-14.

I'm going to NYC tomorrow and taking a long bus ride! They have WIFI so I hope to write a full post game report then. But here are a few thoughts.

1. Ohio State is not nearly as good as I thought.
2. UConn makes even good teams look bad.
3. Even the best in shape teams can tire after too many minutes. UConn, after that great 30 point third quarter looked a little fatigued in the fourth quarter.
4. Geno looks a little scruffy with that beard. Will he grow it out??
5. Is there a player that can fill up the box score more than Gabby Williams?
6. There is no better duo than Samuelson and Collier. And no better trio when you add in Williams.
7. UConn just outworks teams. Effort is non-paralleled.

More to come, but let's just say this was just one damn impressive win.

Plenty of links. I'll keep adding to them as they come out.

No. 21 South Florida, fellow AAC member lost their first game of the season to Long Beach State. It was a painful 73-68 loss in a game they should have won. I always hate when an AAC teams loses an out of conference game.

Tonight's Fun Numbers were 26, 27, 4, double-double and double zero (00).
26 = The 26 was the points scored by Katie Lou. Five 3 point baskets, two more than Kelsey Mitchell.
27 = Napheesa Collier had the quietest 27 points ever scored. Knew she was playing well, looked it up and she has 27, including 8-9 from the charity stripe.
4 = Mitchell lit up UConn for 19 points in the first half, but scored only 4 the rest of the game. OSU never got close.

Double-double by, you guessed it, Pheesa with 11 rebounds to go along with her 27 points.

Double 0 is the points scored by two Ohio State starters, Calhoun and Doss. They went 0-7 with 1 assist & 1 turnover. Playing 3 on 5 against UConn is not a good idea. :)

Nice win by a comfortable margin..!
Go Huskies..!!
