Team Overviews
Tulsa has had a pretty tough season so far. Against a very week schedule, they are only 8-10 and 2-3 in the conference. Here is their RealTime RPI so far.

11-10 | American | 13-4 (6-0) | 68 | 67-72 | L

01-06 | Cincinnati | 10-7 (3-2) | 147 | 64-51 | W
? 01-10 | at | East Carolina | 9-9 (1-4) | 251 | 67-73 | L |
01-13 | Memphis | 7-10 (2-2) | 153 | 48-69 | L |
You can see that they have only played three teams under 100 RPI and lost all three. Their best win was against No. 108 South Dakota. In their most recent outing they lost 69-48 to Memphis.
UConn is coming off a tough battle against Texas. I don't have to say much more about that game...I've said enough...lol.

Tulsa Golden Hurricanes
Head Coach Matilda Mossman
Matilda Mossman is in her seventh season at The University of Tulsa after being appointed as the head women’s basketball coach on March 22, 2011. Mossman took over a five-win team and in just her second year won a conference championship and advanced to the NCAA Tournament.
In her first season at the helm of the program (2011-12), the Golden Hurricane posted 13 wins, and finished league play with an 8-8 record and a sixth-place finish. However, a year later, the program took another big step forward as the Hurricane captured the 2013 Conference USA tournament title, advanced to the NCAA Tournament and posted the first non-losing record (17-17) since 2006.
During the 2013-14 season, Tulsa posted a 12-16 overall record, including a 6-10 mark in Conference USA, but bounced back to tally the first winning record (18-14) since 2006 and advance to the WNIT Second Round during the 2014-15 season. In the 2015-16 campaign, the Golden Hurricane recorded a 12-19 mark, including an 8-10 record in The American for a sixth-place finish.
Last year, Tulsa fielded a young team with five freshmen and three sophomores. The Hurricane tallied a 10-21 overall record, including a 5-11 mark in the American Athletic Conference for a ninth-place finish. Shug Dickson and Kendrian Elliott were tabbed to The American All-Freshman team, and the TU freshmen class earned six Freshman of the Week accolades.

Game Analysis
As I was posting the pictures of the Tulsa kids I noticed how nicely they were smiling. Not for long.
They are just not a very good team. They don't have a lot to offer in resistance to UConn. They are a small team, a poor shooting team, a weak rebounding team, a poor passing team...I could go on.
I'll be paying attention to how Geno starts to incorporate the bench. He may play them more with starters to get them the type of minutes they will need against the better teams.
Not much more to say here. Check out the stats, the Tulsa schedule, enjoy the Highlight video from last year. Then sit back and enjoy the game Thursday night.
Final Prediction
UConn played Tulsa three times last season. I'm sure the Golden Hurricanes were thrilled about that.
The Huskies won all three by a margin of 40, 46 and 48. Pretty consistent. I'm not sure that this game will be much different. UConn has advantages all over the court. And they are finally home. And they are coming off a game that was close so they will want to pour it on. The only factor that might keep the score down is Geno playing more of the bench as he said he would at the end of the Texas game. He has said that before so I don't know if he really will this time.
I'll assume the bench gets more time, but Tulsa is not as good as last year.
