My wonderful and talented cousin Ted Fink has a songwriter competition for one of his songs.

He sent out the instrumental and we were supposed to send in lyrics. The song is called Riffin’.
Riffin’ is when you just make up music without lyrics for example on a guitar.
I made it to the final four!!! Now it’s time for the public to vote.

There are four entries and mine is No. 3 and it’s called Riffin’. I should win just for having the right name!!!

From this fan's perspective, UCF played it's typical tough bordering on chippie defense. It was great that UConn never let it get in their head. But when the Knights trapped the ball for the first time in the game as soon as UConn subbed, Geno was pissed. You could see him yell at the UCF coach - "I sub and you trap? What the hell is that"....After the game he had more words about that....

''It's just typical women's basketball bullshit, ya know? We clear our bench, we put our subs in and all of the sudden there's a trap at half court and they haven't trapped us one time the whole game. It's just dumb. It's just dumb.It's just dumb. My guys are just hoping that they don't dribble the ball off their foot and you want to trap them. But it is what it is. I only coach my team, nobody else's."

So, he basically called the opposing coach dumb and insulted his bench players at the same time. It's what we call a "two-fer".

Napheesa Collier's 85 point explosion in the 3 games of the AAC tournament vaulted her past Katie Lou for 4th place all-time at UConn. Pheesa has 2,299 points, with Lou close behind at 2,259. Here are the 3rd thru 5th place scorers:

3. Tina Charles 2,346 points

4. Napheesa 2,299 points

5. Katie Lou 2,259 points

That puts Collier only 47 points away from Tina and 3rd place. Lou is 87 points behind. Both may pass Tina in the NCAA tournament, which could run up to 6 games.

Rebounds = 39

Blocked shots = 6

Steals = 7

She was a one-woman wrecking crew..!! She averaged 28 points and 13 rebounds per game.
