My wonderful and talented cousin Ted Fink has a songwriter competition for one of his songs.
He sent out the instrumental and we were supposed to send in lyrics. The song is called Riffin’.
Riffin’ is when you just make up music without lyrics for example on a guitar.
I made it to the final four!!! Now it’s time for the public to vote.

Well, this is maybe one of my favorite days!!!! My grandsons are sleeping over. Logan is next to me watching Paw Patrol while Barrett is in the guest room asleep in the pack-n-play. Hopefully until the morning!!! We had some home made pizza and played piano and danced!!

I sometimes don't give equal time to opposing views, but I received an email from Patrick, a very loyal reader and someone with great insight into WCBB. He sent me this about Katie Lou and her exclusion from the ESPN AA team. I don't agree 100% with what he is saying but he has some really great points that I wanted to share with you.
"First of all, I love Katie Lou -- great player, great kid, great role model. The world needs more Katie Lou Samuelsons. But -- while Lou's all-around game was much improved this year -- defense, rebounding, driving to the basket etc, she's a shooting guard and her once world class 3-pt FG % was only 82nd among Division 1 women, and her overall FG % was only 146th - despite the fact that she took a lot more shots in the paint this year than last.
Ironically, if UConn had stumbled badly in the recent games she missed, her all-around contributions might have received more weight with the voters. The fact that the team played quite well without her did not help her chances."
Thanks Patrick!!!

With all the emphasis on scoring and the move of Napheesa and Katie Lou up the all-time scoring list, an interesting stat has been ignored. Collier is just 22 rebounds away from passing Stewie for 4th place all-time in rebounding. You know, Stewie, the 6'4", 4 time NC Most Valuable Player. She of the famous 7 foot wingspan. Napheesa has 1,158 vs 1,179 for Breanna. How in the world is Pheesa a better rebounder than Stewie? Well, if total rebounds determines who was better, then Collier tops Stewart.
Speaking of undersized forwards, Maya Moore is 2nd on the all-time rebounding list with 1,276. Of course, #1 on that list is Tina Charles at 1,367. Below Tina and Maya is Rebecca Lobo at 1,268 rebounds. So the top five looks like this:
1. Tina 1,367 rebounds
2. Maya 1,276 rebs
3. Rebecca 1,268 rebs
4. Stewie 1,179 rebs
5. Pheesa 1,158 rebs
So, Napheesa could end up in the top 4 all-time in scoring and rebounding at UConn. Wow..!!
Go Huskies..!!
