GO UCONN!!!!!

Another game, another mediocre effort. The good news is they still won by double digits - barely...but they won. The bad news is the team still looks a little off like they did against Villanova. Mentally fatigued, they made too many mistakes and just didn't look good.

Well, one player did for sure and that was Dorka Juhasz. 19 points, 17 rebounds, and 4 assists. She did joung the turnover brigade with 4.

On the other end of the spectrum, Edwards has definately hit the wall. Playing in their 5th game in 12 days, She looks to be the most effected by the intense schedule. She only took 7 shots and had 4 points and 4 rebounds. Very unEdwardslike.

Nika had a good offensive game. She seems to be more aggressive in looking for her shot, taking 9 in this game and going 2-3 on threes for her 14 points. She was close to a double double with 9 points.

Griffin and Lou added 13 points eacu to complete the scoring.

Folks clamering for more minutes for the bench got their wish and it wasn't pretty. UConn got 27 minutes from the bench and 1 point total, 0 rebounds and 1 assist.

Give Providence credit. UConn went on several runs and built big leads, but instead of shrinking away into a blowout, the Friars answered every run with a run of their own. The game was never in jeopardy but UConn could never extend those big leads.

Look, these games are difficiult. The team is tired. No doubt about it. Fortunately they have 3 days off between this game and their most challenging game of the season against No. 1 South Caroina. They will need every bit of that to rejuvinate before they take on the Gamecocks.

I fully expect them to be up for this game and play well against South Carolina. Can't wait!!

Straight from the Dog

While it's doubtful that she will be playing in the South Carolina game on Sunday, Azzi Fudd was finally without her crutches during the game against Providence. She would have to be cleared for full contact practice and have to go all three days. Seems like it would be pushing it.

No update on Caroline but it could be any day now.
