Here is my UConn/Cincinnati Pregame Report

Wow, what a game between Maryland and UConn where the Huskies won 83-73. UConn showed their rust in not playing in a weeks time. They had 13 turnovers in the first half and most of them were just ugly and unforced.
They took care of the ball better in the first half, but on offense, they just couldn't make a lot of shots. They were also slow on defense. Especially in the second half. They did push the lead to 12 points in the second half, but to their credit, Maryland kept fighting back and even had a lead at one point.
Saniya Chong hit a huge three pointer with 40 seconds left to extend the lead back to 7 points. It was a defining moment for Chong and I won't be surprised to see her make big contributions to the team going forward as long as she can stay healthy.
Lots to learn from. I'm sure there are some UConn fans ready to jump off the cliff, but me? I'm looking forward to playing Maryland again in the tournament.

There was another top 10 matchup with No. 3 Notre Dame playing No. 10 Oregon State with the Irish hanging on for a 62-61 win. This one was back and forth almost the entire game. If you have ESPN3 you should take a look at the game.
It was almost a big mistake for Lindsay Allen at the end of the game. ND was up 3 and with .3 left on the clock she fouled an Oregon player. It was a two shot foul, but the Oregon player tried to make it look like a three point shot. They didn't call it a in the act of shooting, fortunately for Allen.

Turner played 33 minutes for Notre Dame and was pretty effective. Good news for ND.

From David in Naples
Before the Maryland game - So far this season, UConn has 200 assists on 311 baskets. That's 64.3%, well ahead of last year's final 61.1% rate. Opponents have only 96 assists on 191 baskets or 50.3%.
UConn's 117 turnovers give the Huskies an Assist to Turnover ratio of 1.71 which is very impressive. Opponents have 194 turnovers and a 0.49 ratio.
The player with the best Assist to Turnover ratio on the team is Morgan Tuck at 2.38 (31 to 13). Right behind her is Katie Lou at 2.37 (19 to 8). MoJeff (1.96) and Stewie (1.94) come in 3rd and 4th. Moriah does lead the team with 53 assists in just nine games. The only player on the team with more turnovers than assists is Napheesa Collier with 14 t.o. versus 10 assists. Gabby avoided that category with 10 assists and 10 turnovers.

Well, this one is a real head scratcher -
1-9 Hampton visited 8-3 Wake Forest Monday afternoon.
Hampton, who has lost by 36 to Iowa State, 35 to Oregon, 24 to UTEP, 27 to Texas, 21 to Drexel, and 38 to South Carolina, defeated Wake Forest 47-42.
What a terrible loss for a "Power 5" conference team AT HOME. But it's not just the loss. It's the way they lost.
Hampton shot 26.7% from the field, 26.7 on threes, 55% on FT shooting, and committed 25 personal fouls. It's hard to believe that these were the winning stats.
Not to be outdone, Wake Forest shot 25.5% from the field, 15.7% on threes, 59% on FT shooting. They also turned the ball over 18 times with only 5 assists.
Maybe Wake Forest thought that was the recipe for winning. After all they beat Richmond 43-33 in their previous game, shooting 29.8% from the field, 18.8% on threes They also turned the ball over 22 times with only 8 assists.
I'd be surprised if they won more than a few ACC games. It could get ugggly...!!!!
