What a crazy game between UConn and Notre Dame. Here is my post game report.
I predicted a 30 point UConn win and I guess I was wrong on this one with UConn winning 91-81 behind 28 points and 10 rebounds from Breanna Stewart and 21 points,7 rebounds and 8 assists from Morgan Tuck.
Notre Dame was ridiculous from three point range, hitting 65% of their long range shots going 13-20. Yes, 13-20!! Even better than the 13-29 that DePaul hit. If they hit their usual 40% that is a 15 point difference in the game. But still, they get a lot of credit for making them.
UConn had the lead to 22 points after it was 45-43 at the half. But Notre Dame continued to hit shots and closed to nine at one point. But that was as close as it got.
Great game by both teams and UConn stays undefeated moving. to 6-0. Notre Dame drops to 7-1.

Three upsets in the top twenty-five Saturday.
VCU defeated No. 17 Arizona State 57-48. VCU has the lead for almost the entire game and Arizona State got no closer than 5 points once VCU pulled ahead.
St. Mary's upset No. 18 California 64-63 in a fun back and forth game. Cal had a 10 point lead with only a few minutes left in the first half before St. Mary's went on a 11-2 run to close the 2nd quarter to make it 33-32. Cal pushed the lead to 6 in the 3rd quarter before St. Mary's once again close at the end of the quarter to make it 52-50 Cal going into the 4th quarter. The game went back and forth before Cal hit a jumper with 34 seconds left to take a one point lead. St. Mary's Sydney Raggio hit her game winning shot with 7 seconds left. Cal missed a shot with 3 seconds left for the final margin.
Lastly, BYU defeated No. 12 Texas A&M 72-64. The game was close in the first half but BYU had a lead they never game up in the second half.
