ESPN has now come out with their 3 team all-American teams. Breanna Stewart and Moriah Jefferson are on the first team and Morgan Tuck is on the second team. I don't know if this counts for the Wall of Honor, but if so, it's great that Morgan will make the wall!!!

Breanna Stewart won ESPN's Player of the Year this week. Even some UConn "fans" we're quick to point Stewie may not have the stats to merit such an honor. It's sad to see some display such ignorance. Consider:
1. The hardest 8 games season this season for UConn were Notre Dame, Maryland, South Carolina, the USF game in Tampa, DePaul, the AAC final vs USF, Ohio State and USF in Storrs.
2. Against the Huskies best opponents Stewie scored 28, 23, 25, 12, 29, 22, 24 and 27 points. That is an average of 23.7 pts against teams with very good players whose #1 strategy was to stop Stewie.
3. In those eight games, Breanna also grabbed 64 rebounds (8 per game) and blocked 28 shots. Scoring is just a part of what Stewie did to the other top teams on the schedule.
The greatest players bring their best efforts against the top opponents. Stewie has done just that for four years..!! There isn't an honor she has received that wasn't richly deserved.
Go Huskies..!!
