 UConn's first two games of the NCAA tournament have not exactly been difficult, with the Huskies winning by a combined 98 points. Geno still used a fairly tight rotation in both games, subbing in only Gabby Williams and Napheesa Collier during the early minutes. Both played well, but Collier really stood out. Only a freshman, Napheesa has earned Geno's trust with good reason. Consider:

1. Napheesa shot 9-17 from inside the arc, 53%, and 1-2 from three point range.
2. In 34 combined minutes, Collier grabbed 14 rebounds, half of which were offensive..!! :D
3. While Stewie stole the blocked shot spotlight, Pheese added 2 more to her 2nd place total of 44.
4. Collier's 25 points exceeded Gabby's 8 points, Nurse's 21 points and tied Katie Lou's 25.
5. With all that playing time, Napheesa managed to have 0 turnovers, while adding 2 assists and a steal.
6. One bad note. Collier actually missed a free throw and is now down to 90.7% made for the season. 8-)

Napheesa gives Geno flexibility in his rotation. She can play along the front line for Tuck, Stewie or Lou, without sacrificing defense. Her 25 points and aggression on the offensive boards also keeps the UConn offense on track when she comes in. All this and only a freshman. Go Napheesa..!!
