Straight from the Dog

After watching Geno's interview, I don't beleive he will make any changes to his starting lineup. It will be Bucekers, Fudd, Edwards, Muhl and Ducharme.

He said they had a great practice Monday and it's still the same group of players that had such high hopes. Well, they still do. You can bet these players are plenty pissed off.  And at home in front of a loud crowd.

Maryland has been practicing at home with loud speakers blaring. Sorry Brenda, it's just not the same.

This game is going to show a different  UConn team that we saw against NCST.  It better be.

Milestone watch

• Aaliyah Edwards had 1232 career points after the Dayton game. She scored 21 in the NC State game. Her 1254 passes Kris Lamb and Megan Walker. She is now 41st.

• Nika Mühl had 438 assists after the Dayton game. She recorded 6 in the NC State game. She passed Kia Nurse for 20th place.

STATS

Plus one for every assist block point rebound and steal. I don’t add extra for offensive rebounds as it already seems to favor the bigs. Minus one for every missed shot (2, 3 or foul), turnover or foul committed.

It's not Spidey stats but Spidey posted these on a message board and I bought them here.

Per Her Hoop Stats site, win shares per 40 minutes approximates the total number of wins a player produces offensively and defensively for their team normalized by minutes played.

Here is UConn after two games:

KK .22
Aaliyah .21
Qadence .20
Paige .18
Aubrey .18
Nika .17
Ashlynn .17
Ines .07
Caroline .06
Azzi .04
Ice -.17
Amari -.22

Spidey - I think it matches the eye test and tells clearly who needs to step up. I will be at gampel tomorrow cheering them on!
