She is on UConn's radar!
The Huskies have done well with Alaskan centers in the past!

Straight from the Dog
Here's some crazy numbers for you.
- Over 3 games, Muhl and Arnold have 29 assists and only 2 turnovers.
- Two of UConn's best shooters, Fudd and Ducharme, are 12-39/30.7% from the field and 6-22/27.3% on three point shots.
- The rest of the team? They are 92-171/52.7% from the field and 17-43/39.5% on threes.
- This small team is averaging 5 blocks per game.

Way too early-season stats
Without looking, can you name the player with the most points per game so far? No, not Caitlin Clark.
It’s Destiny Leo of Cleveland State. Yes, it’s early, it’s only based on two games, but so far she’s a model of consistency, with exactly 33 points in each of her two games.
I confess I’ve never heard of her, and I trust you understand if I want to see how she does against a decent team. That’s gonna take a while, their strongest opponent in the next eight games is ranked number 234. They do play Iowa on 16 December.
I don’t think anyone will be greatly surprised to learn that Nika Muhl’s assist to turnover ratio is great. Did you know it’s leading the nation (okay tied with Olivia Mullins). But I bet you didn’t know that KK Arnold is in fourth place with a ratio of 13.0.
Saylor Poffenberger is in fifth place in overall rebounds in the nation’s leader in defensive rebounds.

Active Winning streaks
When I wrote about winning streaks as the season began there were six teams bringing in active winning streaks from last season:
• LSU 6-0
• Kansas 6-0
• Cal Baptist 3-0
• East Tennessee State (ETSU) 1-0
• UIC 1-0
We all know what happened to LSU.
Kansas extended their winning streak to seven games with the game against Northwestern Louisiana, but then fell to earth with a loss to Penn State.
East Tennessee State ended its short winning streak by taking on Kentucky and while they lost by only eight, that’s a loss.
UIC has won three of its first four games but their second game, against Northwestern, was a loss in overtime.
That leaves Cal Baptist who brought their three-game winning streak into the season, and have won their first three games, so they are the current holders of the longest active winning streak at six games.
There’s a handful of teams at 4 – 0 this year nipping at their heels.
Milestone watch
• Aaliyah Edwards had 1254 career points after the NC State game. She scored 12 in the Maryland game. Her 1266 points leaves her in 41st , 32 points behind Morgan Tuck.
• Nika Mühl had 444 assists after the NC State game. She recorded 5 in the Maryland game. 449 leaves her in 20th place, 6 behind Katie Lou Samuelson.

Plus one for every assist block point rebound and steal. I don’t add extra for offensive rebounds as it already seems to favor the bigs. Minus one for every missed shot (2, 3 or foul), turnover or foul committed.
