A Daily look at scores from yesterday, a list of top performers in those games and of course a little opinion.
The Coaches poll came out yesterday and not much change from the week before. The top ten teams are in the same order. But something did change and one voter decided to change their vote from South Carolina to......no, not UConn who beat No. 1 Notre Dame the week before. Not Texas, who beat Tennessee and Stanford over the past couple of week and is undefeated.
No, this voter, for reasons I can't figure out, changed their vote from South Carolina to Notre Dame.
Is there a case to be made for it?
Well, you have to use the fact that Turner is out as your main driver in this logic. You would have to believe that ND would have beaten UConn if Turner was there. And that ND would have hammered DePaul with Turner as well. You also have to have a reason not to vote for South Carolina and maybe it's the fact that they should have lost to Duke, who was playing with an injured Williams. I can't think of any other reason a person that has the responsibility of voting for the top 25 would make this change.
Maybe this is why??

Let's hear it for the Chattanooga Lady Mocs!!!! They beat #7 Stanford tonight and they beat (at the time) #4 Tennessee.
They also lost to Notre Dame by 35 and South Florida by 2.
What an up and down team they are. They have no ranked teams left on their schedule and they play in a weak conference. They might only lose a couple more games and will have a terrific tournament resume. They could grab a spot from a power 5 team by selection time. Hey, maybe ND's big win over them is why that coach voted Notre Dame #1!!!

I'm sure UConn fans are shaking their collective heads over the Stanford performance since upsetting UConn. The more you watch Stanford the more you have to realize how much of a fluke that game was. Against Chattanooga Stanford shot 27% from the fields and 23% on 3's. This team is going to lose by 10+ against Tennessee and it could get real ugly. Of course, Tennessee hasn't been playing like world beaters either. Should be an interesting game.

So, without further ado!!!
