A Daily look at scores from yesterday, a list of top performers in those games and of course a little opinion.

Big game Friday night for UConn coming off a long break. My DePaul game preview is here.
********************************
A few more loses or near misses by Power 5 teams against mid-majors.
Marquette 80-67 over Vanderbilt
Ole Miss squeaks by Southern Miss 68-66
Wake Forest by 10 over a 3-7 Towson
No. 19 Oklahoma State by only 7 against 5-6 Weber State
Oregon needing 2 OT's to beat Santa Clara
Is it me or are there more games like this this season? I understand the AAC is not very good but how good are the Power 5 other than a few teams on top of each conference?
*******************************
There are only twelve undefeated teams left after tonight's play. Six are ranked.
No. 1 South Carolina
No. 3 Texas
No. 5 Texas A&M
No. 14 Oregon State
No. 17 Georgia
No. 20 Mississippi
No. 25 St. Johns
So, how do these teams rank in SOS???
No. 1 South Carolina 71
No. 3 Texas 145
No. 5 Texas A&M 150
No. 14 Oregon State 196
No. 17 Georgia 249
No. 20 Mississippi State 197
No. 25 St. Johns 157
I'm pretty sure that there are several teams with losses that would be undefeated against these pathetic schedules. Four of these undefeated and ranked teams are SEC teams, who's fans like to brag about how good a record their conference teams have. It would be nice if the AP and Coaches poll voters would take this into consideration but they are too lazy to do that. I'd be happy to supply them with this information.
