Doggy's Doghouse 2/15/19

One last day of golf and this time I got to play with my son! We had a great time even if I shot a miserable 91.

Later in the day I took my granddaughter to her golf lesson and I got to practice putting with her after her lesson. SO much fun!!!  One more day in Florida before heading home Sunday early in the morning. Home in time to watch UConn!!!

UConn is going into the final stretch of the regular season, with 6 AAC games left. Two home games and four road games. Here is the lineup.

At Central Florida 20-4 9-2
Home Memphis 9-15 4-7
At Tulsa 11-12 5-5
At Wichita 10-13 3-7
Home Houston 12-11 6-4
At South Florida 12-12 3-7

Not exactly the best of the AAC outside of UCF.

I'm looking for the offense to continue to dominate and I have a great feeling about Olivia Nelson-Ododa. She has a tremendous upside.

When I posted yesterday about UCF having a shot at the Top 25 next week I didn't realize that they had just lost to Tulane on Wednesday night. Sorry, no ranking for Central Florida.

By David in Naples!!!!!

The next six games for the Huskies are against UCF, Memphis, Tulsa, Wichita State, Houston, and USF. Those six teams are a combined 0-47 in regular season games against UConn. In fact, Geno and the Huskies are 96-0 in regular season games. Including the post season, UConn is 111-0. Three of the six teams, USF, UCF, and Houston, have already been defeated by UConn this season. Combined margin of victory was 73 points. Four of the six games are on the road. While any of the six teams could pull off an incredible upset, the Huskies will be favored by a ton of points.

UConn's scoring average per game is now up to 84 points per game, thanks to the last 3 games. The Huskies scored 118, 109 and 97 in those games. That raised the average for the season by 4 points. UConn has now scored 2,015 points in their 24 games. Opponents, just 1,356 points or 56.5 per game.

Go Huskies..!!

  1. No chance for UConn to improve their SOS from here on in. By the way, I just started playing golf for the first time, and shot a 79, and did even better on the second hole!

  2. When the 16 team reveal was mentioned a few weeks ago and UConn was a 2 seed Charlie Cream, Andy Landers et al. were making a big deal about how UConn was not able to bolster their position because they don't play any more good teams but they never mentioned other teams could lower their position if they lost to lower seeds and that's just what happened to a few and UConn has moved up because of that. UConn never loses to a lower ranked team but the ND, Louisville and Baylor's of the world all have proven that they will have at least 1 or 2 upset" losses a season.
