Congrats to Katie Lou Samuelson and Napheesa Collier on being named to the final ten players eligible to win the Naismith Player of the Year award. It's so great to have teammates on that list!!!

WCBB is just nuts this year in a good way. Upsets all over the place!!
No. 2 Oregon, certainly missing Ruthy Hebert, lost to UCLA 74-69 at home. This is the first back-to-back loses in 71 games. The Ducks had a 22 point lead at one point and were up 15 at the half before blowing the lead. UCLA was incredible in the second half, outscoring Oregon at one point 36-14 to take a 68-60 lead late in the game. Kennedy Burke was the answer for the Bruins scoring a career high 29 points. For Oregon, Ionescu had a solid game with 18 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists, but her attitude left something to be desired. She pushed one of her teammates when she wasn't happy with her play and then after fouling out, she just left the bench and went to the locker room. She did come back grudgingly to the handshake line. Is Oregon still a No. 1 seed? It depends on how much the committee puts into Hebert not being there. And if she will be back and effective for the tournament.
No. 11 Marquette lost to unranked Butler 61-57 in a game that was close throughout. This could knock the Golden Knights down a seed or two. But this really helps Butler in their bid to make the tournament.
California enhanced their resume with a 69-60 win over Arizona State. Even at 15-11, the Bears have had a couple of good wins. They need another statement win in the PAC12 tournament to make the tournament in my opinion.
Over the first 6:05 of the first quarter, USC outscored No. 12 Oregon State 16-0. On the Beaver's home court no less. Can you imagine if the fans do what UConn fans do and don't sit down until the home team scores it's first points? I'm sure a few of the older fans needed oxygen...!! Oregon State finally hit a three pointer to break the streak. So how did they manage to stay scoreless for that long?
They were 0-10 from the field with 2 turnovers. UGGGGLYYY!!! Oregon State did come back and win this game.

By David in Naples!!!!!
Napheesa Collier started her 100th consecutive game against Memphis. Surprisingly, only four other players are in that club. Pheesa is joining Renee Montgomery (140), Jennifer Rizzotti (135), Kelly Faris (115) and Jamelle Elliott (106). Notice the big names NOT on that list. Maya, Stewie, D.T. or Sue Bird. Starting 100 straight games is really hard..!!
Collier leads the Huskies in points (516), rebounds (266), blocked shots (37) and made baskets (213). She is 2nd on the team with 100 assists and 82 made free throws. All this while averaging 32 minutes per game. Her 22 points and 12 rebounds were her 15th double-double of the season and 39th of her career. Both those figures are tops on the Huskies..!!
Next up for UConn is Tulsa on Sunday. The Golden Hurricane is 0-8 all-time against Geno & the Huskies..!!
Go Huskies..!!
