I saw this on a UConn message board and had to share. We have been seeing a version of Katie Lou Samuelson that we are not used to seeing. It's been a LONG slump!! But great shooters are always still great shooters. She will be back. Here is a reminder!!!

No. 1 Baylor took on No. 14 Texas Monday night and for three quarters, it was all Baylor. The Bears had a 61-40 lead going into the fourth quarter. Then something happened. Complacency by Baylor? Who knows. But I do know that the Longhorns poured it on in the final 10 minutes, closing the 21 point Baylor lead to 4 points with 30 second left.

Baylor did hold on winning by a 74-68 final score making enough foul shots to put it away. Not an impressive win for the Bears over what I believe to be an overrated Texas team. But a win is a win and they will hold on to their top ranking.

With all the noise about Napheesa joining the 2,000/1,000 Club at UConn, I've decided to invent the 650/350 Club for UConn women's basketball. The 650 is for assists and the 350 is for steals. Before revealing the members, here are the finalists. Top five in assists:

1. MoJeff - 659 assists

2. Diana - 649 assists

3. Jen Rizzotti - 637 assists

4. Renee Montgomery - 632 assists

5. Sue Bird - 585 assists

As you can see, only Moriah makes the 650 assist part of the club. Now the steals. Here are the top five:

1. Nykesha Sales - 447 steals

2. Moriah - 353 steals

3. Jen Rizzotti - 349 steals

4. Maya Moore - 310 steals

5. Gabby Williams - 305

Again, only MoJeff and Nykesha make the 350 steals part of the club. Even lowering the standards to 600/300 only adds Jen Rizzotti to Moriah. That Jefferson kid was quite the player..! 8-)
