We moved out of our vacation condo Friday and into my son's house. We love him and his family, but it doesn't feel like vacation. We will be here until we fly home Tuesday night.
Had a great lunch at Two Georges. And a drink at 11:30. So unlike me....but the buzz was fun!!!

I didn't write a Pre Game Report for the first matchup between UConn and Tulsa so I'm not going to do that for the second game. But here is the link to my Post Game Report from the first matchup that will give you an idea on how this game should go.
Tulsa was crazy hot from the outside and I'm sure Geno will remind his players of how that occurred. I would expect some really tight defense on the perimeter.
Tulsa put up 17 three point shots in each half and hit 8 of them in the first half and 5 in the second half. I can see them putting up 34 again but no way they make 13 of them.
Last game was a 98-58 win for the Huskies. Look for a larger margin this time on UConn's home court.
UConn by 50+.

All late games Friday. Other than DePaul/St. John's, it's PAC night.
I'll update the scores as I can, but probably not until Saturday morning.

I don't usually give out an UGGY award for one quarter of play. I mean, every team has a bad quarter. But this quarter of play deserved special mention.
In the DePaul/St. John's game, where the Blue Demons defeated the Johnnies 54-51, DePaul was absolutely horrible in the fourth quarter.
Let's see what happened.
DePaul scored only 3 points. They were 1-9 from the field, 0-5 on threes, 1-6 on free throws and 5 turnovers.
Sorry, Doug, but your team was just god awful in this fourth quarter and you win an UGGY Award. Congrats!!!

Katie Lou Samuelson has now scored 455 points this season. That is an average of 21.7 per game. She is within 24 points of Renee Montgomery for 12th place on the UConn sophomore scoring list. KLS is 29
points away from tying Rebecca Lobo for 11th place. If/when she gets to 564 points, Katie Lou will tie Diana and Svetlana for 6th place. Interestingly, Taurasi averaged 14.5 points per game for 39 games & Abrosimova 16.6 per game for 34 games. Both scored well below Lou in their average per game.
If Samuelson were to play 38 games this season and average 21 pts per game, she would finish with 798 points. That would pass Stewie's 777 points for 1st place. If she averages 20 pts per, she would score 760 points and finish 2nd, just ahead of Maya at 754. Any combination of fewer games or a lower average would place her somewhere between KML's 670 (3rd) and Tina's 540 (7th).
Katie Lou's 455 points this season has already passed her freshman total of 408 points. For her career, KLS now has 863 points. At 21 pts per game, she would reach 1,000 career points in 6.5 games. All this, in just her sophomore year.
Go KLS..!!
