UConn 72, Baylor 61. Here is my Post Game Report.
Ok, now what? All the naysayers (UConn has no shot), the crybabies (wah....Baylor is so big...wah) and everyone else that predicted a UConn loss.......now what?
77 in a row with 3 games they should easily win on tap, it looks like it will be 80 before the next tough stretch when they face DePaul, Notre Dame and then Texas.
But after this game, who would bet against them winning all three?
It was the coming out party for the Nation's number three recruit, freshman Crystal Dangerfield, who led the Huskies with 19 points.
And the vaunted Baylor height? Well the combination of Mompremier, Brown and Cave were only able to score 18 points and grab 19 rebounds between the three of them.
I'm basically stunned that Nina David, the all-American was scoreless in this game and played only 24 minutes. She was a shell of the player I have watched for a few years. Wow.
There is so much to say about this game. I'm going to watch it again and give you a full post game analysis.
In the meantime, just enjoy the afterglow of a fantastic performance by some really good UConn players!
Oh yeah, a shout to Geno and the coaching staff. What a spectacular job putting in a great game plan and preparing this team after a tough FSU game.
I have some articles linked in the UConn section. I'll continue to look for more and add them later.
GO HUSKIES!!!!!!

I watched the Notre Dame game online and came away totally unimpressed with The Irish. They were able to keep Green Bay at arms distance to defeat the Phoenix 71-67.
Green Bay almost "Notre Dame"'d them by hitting 12 of 25 three point shots. They actually outscored Notre Dame 37-30 in the second half. The Irish were only 5-13 from beyond the arc.
Notre Dame was led by Ogunbowale, who had 18 points. Briana Turner did not play like a NPOY candidate with 15 points and only 5 rebounds. Green Bay was very physical with her.
They got basically nothing from the three freshman. Patberg didn't play. I don't know if there was an injury going on. Boley is still struggling from the field going 0-4 and 0-1 on threes. She was scoreless. Jackie Young finally saw action and grabbed 7 rebounds. But she only scored 3 points.
I just didn't see the same Irish spark as in years past. Maybe Green Bay just does that to teams. We shall see.

Florida State had a terrific bounce back game, beating up on Jacksonville 90-47 after their tough 2 point heartbreaking loss to UConn.
Shakayla Thomas scored 20 points for the Seminoles, 15 in the first half. They are going to be a tough team all season long, even tougher when Romero returns and White feels more comfortable. Remember that White did not have the luxury of a full year of RS learning the FSU system like most transfers. That is one of the downsides to the immediate transfer situation.
By David in Naples!!!!!
Tonight's numbers are clear, Crystal clear. The mighty mite from Tennessee rained on Baylor's chances for a victory. Her stats were bigger than any Bear and way more Dangerous...
1. In 30 minutes of action, 1 turnover.
2. Crystal scored 19 pts on 8-14 shooting.
3. When she wasn't scoring, danger field gave out 5 assists.
4. Her 4 rebounds were 3rd highest for the Huskies.
5. Three 3's of five and two steals for good measure.
UConn fans may have seen the opening act of the next long running play at point guard. From understudy to star, clearly..
Go Crystal, go Huskies..!!
