It's not like getting WORDL in 1 guess, but I did a pretty good job predicting how this game would play out. Let me remind you.
"UConn matches up well with The Hall. My main concern is foul trouble for Muhl guarding Park-Lane. But if Dorka is matching up with Cooks then the Pirates have no one to guard Edwards. And I expect a bounce back game for Griffin, who struggled against FSU. Look for Ducharme to continue her improved game and the usual solid performance from Lou. Seton Hall has had a solid season to date. And they might be the most experienced team the
Huskies play with one grad student, five seniors and one junior in their eight player rotation.
But games are won with talent and the Huskies just have too much for the Pirates to deal with. It will a good game for UConn heading into the break. UConn by 25+."
Thank you Seton Hall for making those last two foul shots. But enough about me.....
Great game by the Huskies and a great game coaching by Chris Dailey. The more you see her press conferences the more you realize how important she is to Geno and the team. She is by far the best second in command in the country.
She was upset with how she managed the minutes in the Florida State game, playing the starters too many minutes, so she paid attention to that more in this game and she did a great job. In fact, it's kinda scary how exact she was in doling out the minutes. Three starters had 31 minutes, two had 27 minutes and the first player off the bench had 27 minutes. Amazing.
She loved how the team came out strong and built a nice lead and unlike the Florida State game they maintained that level of play in the third quarter.
I have a week to put together a full postgame report with pictures and videos, so just a few thoughts about the game.
I loved how Edwards played. She made one move under the basket and right away I thought "Morgan Tuck". Her footwork is getting better and better and she seems to be quicker as well.
Nika!!! She had a Paige like game today. Running the team and hitting some shots. Can she possibly win the Nancy Lieberman award? Well, read the description - "The award is given to a player who exemplifies "the floor leadership, play-making and ball-handling skills that personified Nancy Lieberman during her career". What player in the country outshines Nika? I can't think of any.
Bettencourt played 10 minutes and added 4 assists. Terrific.
More to come on everyone else. It was a really well played game.

David isn't here right now but I noticed some great stats to share.
After today's game Ducharme is shooting 37.9% on threes, Muhl is shooting 40%. If Caroline hits her next three she will be 12-30. Exactly the same as Nika.
As a team the Huskies are shooting 52.7% from the field and 42.7% on threes. Fantastic.
Edwards, Griffin and DeBerry are shooting over 60% from the field.
UConn has 5 players scoring in double digits.
Lou has scored 193 points, Edwards 192 points.
Are there two better shooters in the country? Fudd was 12-13 on threes before her injury. Lou is 24-25. Amazing!
