Wow....that a great game between Kentucky and Mississippi State. Now, it wasn't the best display of basketball. Mississippi State had 27 turnovers, Kentucky shot only 5-16 on three and had 18 turnovers. But if you like a competitive game with lots of twists and turns, this is the one for you.
MSU's Victoria Vivians had 39 points on 13-29 shooting. Kentucky's Makayla Epps topped that with 42 points on 18-30 shooting. Great games by both of these young ladies.
Mississippi State was able to close a 10 point deficit in regulation, and after Bria Gross put Kentucky ahead with two free throws with six seconds left, MSU's Morgan Wilson tied it with on tick left on the clock.
In the first OT, the teams exchanged several baskets before Kentucky tied it with 13 seconds remaining on an Epps jumper.
And finally in the 2nd OT, Epps made a great shot with one second left to give Kentucky the win.
If you have a chance to watch on ESPN3, do it.

No. 23 Syracuse might be saying goodbye to the AP Poll after losing by 14 to Miami, 85-71. On the other hand, Miami has helped build it's NCAA resume with this win. Add the defeat of Notre Dame earlier this season and they win 3-4 of the final 5 games and win a couple in the ACC tourney and they have a shot at an At Large bid.

In another fun game to watch (yes, I switched back and forth on ESPN3 with the MSU/UK game) No. 17 UNC upset No. 7 Florida State 71-63.
FSU grabbed a seven point first half lead and held on to that for quite a while. It was 56-49 with 5:36 left when UNC took over. They outscored them 17-7 over the next 4:18, taking a 3 point lead. UNC was able to put the game away from the foul line. It wasn't 40 minutes of hell, but 4 minutes was enough.

Ugly Game Of The Day
Put your bad shot up,
Dribble off your foot,
Miss another three,
And watch them clang off the rim
Do the HOKIE POKIE and miss another shot
That's what it's all about
Yes, the UGGY winner for Thursday night are the Virginia Tech Hokies.
35 points, 25% shooting, 2-16 on three's and 15 turnovers. Great job!!
Honorable Mention
