What a great Big Ten game Saturday. Amanda Zahui B. scored 27 and grabbed 27 rebounds to lead Minnesota beat Michigan 91-88 in double overtime Saturday. That gives her 66 points and 56 rebounds in the last two games combined. That is some kind of playing!!
Cyesha Goree scored 26 points and grabbed 20 rebounds and Katelynn Flaherty added a career-high 27 points for the Wolverines. The matchup between Goree and Zahui B. was amazing. To terrific post players going at it.
Michigan's Nicole Elmblad hit a layup at the buzzer to end regulation and made a jumper with 22 seconds left in the first overtime to force another session.

UConn defeated Tulsa Saturday 92-46. Stewart was unstoppable. More to come in my Post Game Report, coming out Sunday.
Ugly Game Of The Day
It's nice for a change to get a full game and not just one team from a game. Longwood has had a tough season, now 3-25 overall and 3-16 in their conference. Doing the math, that means they were 0-9. Rough. They had a chance to win a game in regulation as it was tied 30-30 with one minute left. But they missed two shots and turned the ball over twice as they went to overtime. It's amazing that these two teams needed overtime to get to 68 total points. Now THAT is Ugly!!!!
Longwood scored 32 points on 23% shooting. They shot 17% (4-23) on threes and 44% on free throws. They also had only 4 assists and 14 turnovers.
Presbyterian scored 36 points on 30% shooting. They shot 23% (3-13) on threes and had 23 turnovers.
Congrats to these two Big South teams for winning a combined UGGY!!!
Honorable Mention
The Purdue Boilermakers lost a tough game to Illinois 47-46 in a low scoring Big Ten game. But they escape the Uggy by shooting almost 40% from the field, but Illinois was not as fortunate.
Illinois scored 47 points on 26% shooting. They shot 21% (5-23) on threes, 54% on free throws to snag this honorable mention.
