Katie Lou Samuelson, incoming UConn freshman for fall 2015 Samuelson, is a 6-foot-3 guard/forward at Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, California. And she just won the WBCA High School player of the year for 2014-15.
KLS, as some might call her or Lou, the name she likes to go by, has been having a senior year to remember. She is averaging 29.5 points and 8.5 rebounds per game. She has had TWO games with ten three pointers made. She has unlimited range and as quick a release as you will ever see. Add that to her height and she can get a three point shot whenever she wants to take one. She doesn't mind mixing it up in the paint either. She will get bigger and stronger over the summer at UConn.
Just imagine her on the court with Stewart, Tuck, Jefferson and Nurse plugged in for KML. As good as Kaleena is, UConn won't miss a beat.

She is more than a 3-point shooter.....watch
Meet Katie Lou

Another top twenty-five upset Wednesday. And this time it was No. 3 Baylor, who had their 25 game winning streak ended by Oklahoma 68-63. After Oklahoma ran out to a 12-2 lead, Baylor kept it close until the last few minutes of the first half when Oklahoma stretched it out to an 8 point lead.
Oklahoma was able to hold on to the lead, but it was The score was tied at 64 in the final minute when Kaylon Williams was fouled and made 1-2 free throws for the lead with 30 seconds to play. Baylor could not make a shot, even with two opportunities before Oklahoma closed it out with 3 free throws to close the scoring out.
This is a big blow to Baylor's shot at a number one seed in the NCAA's. But I'm not sure who would grab that spot. Still more basketball to be played.

Ugly Game Of The Day
No. 21 Florida Gulf Coast played North Florida in an Atlantic Sun conference match up and it was pretty Ugly. The final was 56-24. Yes, someone scored less than Georgia's 26 points and that's not easy to do!!
North Florida was 18% (8-44) from the field, 0-8 on threes, 8-16 from the free throw line, with only 3 assists and 19 turnovers.
24 points? Ugly!!! Congrats Ospreys for winning Wednesday's UGGY!!!!! You have to be really ugly to beat out the Honorable Mention entry.
Honorable mention
I'm not sure I want to embarrass our ladies in uniform, but the Navy Midshipmen (shouldn't that be Midshipwomen?) had a tough game against American in a 41-29 loss.
Navy score 29 points, 10-50 from the field, 14% (4-28) on threes, 8 assists and 18 turnovers.
