The new AP poll is out and of course, UConn is still No. 1.
There were four big changes this week.
Now No. 6 Baylor dropping three spots, now No. 8 Stanford jumping three spots after the Cardinal win over the Bears this past weekend.
Now No. 11 Oregon State dropped four spots and as I predicted, now No. 23 Texas A&M jumped three spots into the top 25 with their win over the Beavers.
Interestingly enough, California dropped one spot from a tie with Minnesota at No. 13 to one point less than the Gophers at No. 14. Both teams had 374 points last week and now it's 387-386. Weird.

Tuesday night's schedule has two terrific games on TV if you have the correct stations on your cable.
At 6:00, 7-1 No. 8 Stanford heads into Knoxville and the Pat Summit floor to take on 8-0 No. 9 Tennessee. The Cardinal are 3-13 against the Lady Vols at the Thompson-Boiling arena all time but the are 0-10 with Pat Summit coaching. I'd have to give the coaching edge to Tara Vanderveer. Both teams are talented but I'll take Stanford if they can keep the turnovers down. This game is on the SECN. You can also find that on Watch ESPN.
At 10:00, 10-0 No. 4 Mississippi State is taking on 8-1 No. 7 Oregon on the road. The Bulldogs are incredibly tough on the boards, leading the country in a stat not talked about too often. The rebound over 50% of their misses. No other team in the country grabs more of their misses than their opponents. With 6'7" McGowan and 5'11" rebounding machine Anriel Howard attacking the glass, I think that MSU will win this game going away. But I do expect a triple double from Ionescu! This is a national game on ESPN2.
