Sunday is my 66th birthday. How the hell did I get so old?

I'm looking forward to breakfast in bed, watching some football and then a great dinner out with my beautiful bride.

Off to Florida for a 11 days Thursday morning. My next Blog will be the Pre Game Report for the Baylor game.

I'm a lucky man!!

So, what do these teams have in common?

CSU Northridge RPI 155
CSU Bakersfield RPI 310
Northwestern RPI 103
Sacred Heart RPI 219
Loyola Marymount RPI 112
Providence RPI 128
UT Rio Grande Valley RPI 327

Well, it appears these are the teams that the Top 25 teams that played Saturday scheduled to finish their OOC schedules. Such GREAT challenges.

The ranked teams won by an average of 32 points in their games. That should prepare them for their conference games, right?

Free throws continue to be a stat that favors UConn almost every game. Consider:

1. For the season, the Huskies have taken 177 free tries vs only 115 for opponents. That difference is nearly 6 more free throws per game.

2. UConn has made 134 from the charity stripe, while opponents only have 68 makes. The 66 point difference is exactly 6 more points for the Huskies.

3. UConn makes 75.7% of their free throws vs only 59.1% for the bad guys. Taking more and making more is a great formula for success.

4. Crystal has made an amazing 21 of 22 free throws. That is 95.5%..!!

5. Lou is at 86.8%, Christyn is at 84.2% and Megan is close at 83.3%. Who you gonna foul..?

6.Unfortunately, the most fouled Huskie is Pheesa with 47 tires, but only 66% made.

7. The 3rd most fouled player is Olivia with 31 attempts. But, her make % is only 61.3%.

Napheesa and Olivia will improve their charity stripe % in the AAC games. Come tournament time, UConn should enjoy a nice advantage with free throws.

Go Huskies..!!
