If you watched the Xavier game, you have a good idea how this Georgetown game might go. The Hoyas have only two Big East wins, 55-47 against Providence and 78-62 over Butler. Their best OOC win was against......well, there wasn't a good OOC win. Let's face it. Georgetown is a really bad team.

However, they did just play Marquette really tough, basicially even over the last three quarters.

I'm not sure if it's injuries or coaching indecision, but 14 different players started at least one game for Georgetown.

Only one player has started every game for the Hoyas, Milan Boldin-Morris, their leading scorer. The 5'10" grad student guard is very good at three point shooting (37.8%), and takes a lot of them, over 7 per game.

It's anyone's guess who else sees minutes in this game. Georgetown does have some height, but they don't appear to be very athletic from the videos I have viewed.

Georgetown is a low scoring, low percentage shooting, turnover producing, typical weak, bottom of the league team.

UConn shouldn't get off to a slow start and being home, I expect them to run out to a big early lead and rotate their new 8 player rotation before we see DeBerry and Gabriel in the fourth quarter.

UConn by 40+.

And another No. 2 seed from the last reveal goes down.

AP No. 5 Indiana lost to AP No. 22 Iowa 96-91 in a foul filled game. At one point in the fourth quarter, down by 16 points, Indiana started fouling. So it was no surprise that they ended up with 24 fouls committed on the game. But why did Iowa foul like crazy as well? Could have been the refs, but wow, it much have been a tough game to watch. 24 free throws for Iowa, and 26 free throws for Indiana.

Iowa is the same type team UConn faced last season. A high scoring, bad defending team. They allowed Indiana to score 42 points in the fourth quarter. That is pretty much insane. It's hard to blow a 22 points leading going into the fourth quarter, but Iowa tried their best.

Just a reminder. All the 2 seeds have now lost at least once since the reveal.

Michigan 0-1
Arizona 2-1
Iowa State 1-1
Indiana 2-2

Iowa State hammered Oklahoma Saturday night so there 2 seed position was enhanced.

A real blow to the Lady Vols. She just dominates the offense, even if it's a really bad one.

Of course I feel badly for the player and wish her a speedy recovery. But I just can't feel badly for the Orange Idiots that were so harsh about the UConn injuries.

Them losing every game for the rest of the season would make me very happy. Sick, I know.

It will start Sunday in a bad loss to No. 1 South Carolina. 20+.

UConn versus Xavier superlatives

• UConn hit 63% of their Field Goal attempts, highest for the season (second highest is 62.3% vs Minnesota)

• UConn scored 89 points, 3rd highest of the season (1st is 95 points versus Arkansas, 2nd is 92 points versus Butler)

• Longest run - 37 points

• First and only time the points scored in the longest run exceeds the opponents points for the entire game (35)

• Most players in the game – 10 (tied for first place with the game against Minnesota)

• UConn players scoring – 10 (2nd is the 15 January home game against Xavier with 9 players scoring)

• Phil’s metric* - 8 points (Williams 13 points, Juhasz and Deberry each had 5 points). Second highest is 13 points, in the game at Creighton and Georgia Tech

* This metric is calculated by subtracting the points scored by the player with the fewest points from the points scored by the player with the most points. This metric is a crude measure of how “even” the scoring is among the players. It’s such an easy and obvious metric that it may actually have a name, but I couldn’t find a name associated with this metric so I’m taking ownership unless someone can identify a name associated with it. People interested in inequality metrics may have heard of the Gini coefficient. Many related metrics are calculated based on all of the entries, or several entries such as specified quantiles. This particular metric jumped out at me because it’s not just the lowest value but lowest by a decent margin. The second lowest value is 13, and the average value for this metric overall games is 20.56, so the value of eight points is particularly low.
