I don't think I said enough about Christyn Williams' performance against Georgetown. She was just amazing. And I hope you all got to watch the post game interview with her, Carolina and Nika.

Christyn as so funny about the move she made where the Georgetown defender got twisted like a preztel and hit the floor. It's around the 1:30 mark in this video of her highlights.

Williams is playing the best ball of her UConn career. The kind of performances that can help carry the team far in the tournament.

No. 10 Indiana at No. 21 Iowa

It's the talk all over the internet. Well, at least among UConn fans. The ESPN power rankings are out and Michelle Vopel, Charlie SECreme's partner in UConn hate, made a fool of herself once again.

It's not just that she has UConn at No. 11 but it's who she has ahead of them.

Baylor is No. 4 in the power rankings.

Net Rankings 8, Massey 6, AP 5. Ok...maybe not so bad. But they are hanging their hat on beatihng Texas twice. Not that impressive to me.

LSU is No. 6 in the power rankings.

Net Rankings 16, Massey 15, AP 8. Yeah, this No. 6 in the power rankings should be called the Mulkey rankings. It's all about here with this pick by Vopel.

Maryland is No. 8 in the power rankings.

Net Rankings 15, Massey 10, AP 13. Another overrated team coached by someone Vopel really likes. This was her excuse for Maryland losing to Michigan - "Taking nothing away from Michigan, but the Terps looked a little gassed there Sunday after beating Iowa and Ohio State earlier in the week." What total bullshit. They got beat badly and still are No. 8?

UConn is No. 11 in the power rankings.

Net Rankings 6, Massey 5, AP 7.

In a rematch between No. 10 Indiana and No. 21 Iowa, the Hawkeyes did it again, beating the Hoosiers 88-82 after beating them two days ago 96-91. It is a big win for Iowa and a bad few days for Indiana. It was the Monika Czinano and Caitlen Clark show. Czinano had 31 points and 10 rebounds and Clark came close to another triple double with 29 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists.

Indiana is at best a 3 seed right now. Can they hold on to it?

Where does Iowa move to? Time will tell.

How bad can it get for Tennessee? Well, after being a 1 seed in the first reveal with an 18-1 record, they have now 3-5 over their last 8 games. Their only three wins were at home against unranked teams. And now they lost their best players, and many of the Orange Idiots have turned on their team and coach.

The opposite side of those fans are the eternal optimists, which I certainly can relate to. But they are so desparate that they are celebrating the fact that they played South Carolina to only a 14 point loss.

How low can you go? It they lose either of the last two home games against Mississippi State and LSU we will find out.

At least they have Mudcat to speak for them - "she can not score if others do not pass ball when she open. better not take away from others driving to basket and shoting right in the defeners face and throwing up wild shots. lets not pass the ball looking for and opened shoting. and for sure do not set picks."

Does a coach make a difference? In her first season back home at LSU, Kim Mulkey has the Tigers in the top ten of the AP poll for the first time in 13 years. And they now can win the ugly jacket contests!!

Had any of the overly critical UConn fans been around during the crucifiction and resurrection, I'm sure their only observation would have been, "That's nice, but why did it take 3 whole days?"

You want your UConn stats glass half full or glass broken on the ground?

First, for the pessimists:

1. The Huskies had 21 turnovers with Ono, Nika and Christyn topping the list at 4 each.
2. UConn missed 17 of their 25 three point shots, including Azzi Fudd's 1-7 stinker.
3. The only player to block a shot on the undersized Hoyas was Evina. She had 2.
4. UConn gave up 30 points in the 2nd half after holding GU to 19 in the 1st half.
5. They only won by 41 points.

Now, for the realistic Huskie fans:

1. Scoring 90 points with Azzi having an off night is superb.
2. UConn's defense had 21 steals and 30 total turnovers.
3. The Huskies dominate the paint with 42-14 edge in points.
4. All 10 players saw action, scored and had at least 1 rebound. All but 1 had an assist.
5. UConn went 16-19 from the charity stripe. That's 84%, and 8 players had at least 1 make.
6. The Huskies shooting % by quarter was 54%, 58%, 57% and 60%.

UConn was supposed to manhandle the Hoyas and they did..!! A 41 point win with all 10 players seeing action is a great building block for the Big East tourny and the Big Dance in March. Unfortunately, some fans are never happy.

Go Huskies..!!
