I'm not sure I have seen more negative posts from UConn fans on the message boards. I can only imagine how crazed they would be if Cardosa was playing. They really aren't that much better than UConn without her. Here are a few comments:

"It's simple...at the end of the game, UConn has to have scored at least 1 more point than the Gamecocks. Simple!"

"They won't."

"No Length. No Depth. No chance. SC will win by 10 even without the big tree in the middle!"

"I am doubtful that UConn can prevail. UConn is a fine team with obvious shortcoming in depth, height, and experience"

"The flying elephants will keep dropping the ball into the SC basket, over all those players towering over UConn's players. In other words, no way, no how. I wish it weren't true, but I expect this to be a blowout, and not the good kind."

"Yeah, I just don't see us doing well against South Carolina on Sunday. Our post entry passes that we can get away with being sloppy against slower teams, will not work against South Carolina. If we are settling for the pull up from the elbow. That is playing right into the hands of South Carolina because we are one and done."

"Love UConn, but this team has very little chance here. Almost zero. You know what? It’s okay! This team is what it is. Injury riddled, two years in a row"

Well, that's enough. You get the point. Hopefully all this negative energy doesn't reach South Carolina.

I didn't mention the Tennessee loss to Alabama. It was glorious. The fans are calling for Harper's head. It does appear she is in over her head. I believe it's just not a very good team. It would be like kicking a horse when they are down. I'll do that later.

• Aaliyah Edwards reached 1622 career points with her 18 points in the Seton Hall game. She is in sole possession of 22nd place, and needs 7 points to tie Barbara Turner.

• Aaliyah Edwards now has 892 rebounds with 15 against Seton Hall. She is in sole possession of 14th place, and needs 5 more to catch Olivia Nelson-Ododa.

• Nika Mühl had 584 assists after her 6 assists in the Seton Hall game. She is in 7th place and needs 1 more to tie Sue Bird.
• Geno Auriemma now has 1200 wins!!!
